forgive me for saying so, but it seems i shall be the only slytherin to ever support the house of gryffindor in this matter of competition. it is not that i question your skill for commandeering-- james is merely exceptional when it comes to matters that capture his heart the most. his level of arrogance is impeccable, stubborn just as you are.

oh, the day of your disappoint on me shall come when hell freezes over. perhaps you should not be so concentrated on this magnified attention for my petty requirements. arranged marriages are arranged; how inconsiderate would it be, do you think, to have to change something so arranged already? i merely question, for perhaps you need to start showing emotions that should be given access to. i know you are not a machine with a stone heart, roy. and so do you. so enough with it.

Perhaps I only have this magnified attention to your petty requirements simply so father does not do so. You very well know that he will not take well to anything short of perfection, Juliette. You misjudge the situation. Matters of the heart are unnecessary. Just as with Potter, it opens others up to your weaknesses. Weakness is not an option; it is a trivial nothing.
