It was late into the night as a sixteen year old boy tossed and turned in his bed in the Slytherin dorms. One or two of his mates muttered lightly in their sleep. Okay, that’s it, Anthony thought to himself as he pushed the blankets aside. I’m done with sleep. He rolled off his bed and landed on the floor with a slight thud. Another of his mates snorted in his sleep and turned over, facing the wall. Anthony couldn’t help but to raise an eyebrow, a look of plain amusement on his face. He knew he could use their night time habits to blackmail them. He was pretty sure they’ll bend over backwards but he wasn’t going to. Not now anyways, the seventh year thought as he stood up and gripped his wand, snatching it from his bed side table. He grumbled a bit to himself. Anthony Mulciber was an insomniac. He had trouble sleeping and staying asleep. He would also last a few days without sleep. His sleeping habit would often change depending on the month or how his mood was. Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. A low growl escaped from his lips as he dressed in the dark. He ran a hand through his hair and pulled on a dark green cloak. “But I like them,” Anthony whirled around and quickly bit down on his lower lip to stop himself from bursting out laughing. They were really entertaining this late at night.[/size]
He quickly walk out, not taking any care to slam the door shut. Anthony was having trouble keeping a straight face as he walked downstairs and out of the common room. Black eyes glanced around the hallways. Good, no one was around. That was perfect for him. But the question was, where would he go? The library? One of the towers….bingo. Anthony smirked as he made his way to the Astronomy Tower. The Tower held a specific memory to him. It was a place that he once made a student hanging off the edge. What was her name….Ah. MacDonald. The foolish Mudblood thought that she could talk back to him. Several snide comments and retorts were exchanged on their parts. Anthony thought it would be fun to put the Imperius Curse on her and have her dangling from the edge of the Astronomy Tower, the highest point in the castle. He could have made her jump to her death. He could have made it to where she didn’t survive the landing. For some reason or another he decided to let her go with only a warning. “Next time I’ll make you jump Mudblood,” he had hissed before releasing the curse and watching as she walked off. He had watched her after the incident. Surely she would have gone to the muggle-loving Headmaster to tell him what had happened.
Anthony was surprised when three weeks had gone by without a summon to the office. Maybe the Mudblood had learned her lesson not to mess with him. “There’s only hope,” the black haired boy muttered to himself as he walked up the stairs to the tower. It was amazing that he did not encounter any perfects or the Head boy/girl. If he had crossed paths with a professor, he was out of luck. He would have had detentions for a week at least. And then a letter, possibly a Howler, from his father. The mere thought of it had made him shudder. Two times he had a Howler delivered to him during breakfast. It wasn’t a pretty sight at all. His father was a downright nasty man. And Anthony still has the scars on his back to prove it. He respected him out of fear and hate him. Anthony sighed gloomy as he kept his gaze across the grounds, lost in his thoughts. His ears perked up at the sound of footsteps. That alone brought him out of his thoughts as he slowly turned around, pulling out his wand and pointed it straight at the person.
