DREAM [/style] | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #6d6d6d;] [style=padding: 10px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 10px; height: 475px; overflow: auto; color: #1e1e1e;]Fear. It was a feeling Ellen was not familiar with; after all she had been placed in the house of the brave. The only time she had ever felt so afraid was the day after her brother had died, and even that didn't match the fear she felt right now. At this very moment Ellen was petrified, so petrified that she couldn't sleep or eat. In fact, she hadn't done either of those things for the past week. This whole problem began after the spent that night with the one person she hated more than anything. Of course the dilemma was much simpler back then: am I in love with him or not? Now it was so much more complicated; she had missed her period. The only thing more frightening than the possibility of being in love with Rodolphus Lestrange was the possibility of carrying his child, and that she just couldn't have. Having a child at seventeen was not in her plans; it would just mess everything up for her, and she was sure Rod would hate the idea of her having his child. The only ray of hope she had was the uncertainty of it all, and she wanted to keep it that way even if it wasn't the responsible thing to do. [/style]One trip to the hospital wing could clear this whole thing up, but then she'd know for sure. At least now she could go on pretending that everything was alright when in fact everything was so wrong. Ellen hadn't said anything to anyone, but she was positive all her friends knew something was wrong. Most of her down time was spent in her room 'studying,' but her grades suffered immensely from her lack of sleep and malnutrition. Seventh year had not started well, and Ellen was terrified of losing everything she had ever wanted because of one reckless night with a guy who felt nothing for her. Ever since she was a little girl she had dreamed of having children and getting married to the perfect guy; someone who'd make her completely happy and love her for her flaws. She was a romantic at heart, and a one night stand with Rodolphus Lestrange was not romantic at all. It was ant-romantic, and she hated him for tempting her. Earlier that day she had sent an owl to the only person who could help her through this: Kevin Heart. He was easily one of her closest friend and confidante. Whenever she was around him she felt safe and blissfully happy; plus, he was completely non-judgmental unlike some of her girlfriends. Through all of her traumatic life events, he had been the one to comfort her and make everything better. After she found out Andrew had died, she immediately went to Kevin and cried as hard as she could. In fact, he was the only person in the whole world who had seen her lose it like that. He allowed her to be vulnerable around him, and that's what made him so special to her; that's why she needed him right now. The owl had asked him to meet her on top of the astronomy tower immediately after their last class. Whenever she needed to think or be alone she'd come up to the tower and look at the beautiful landscape of the castle. There was something extremely calming in knowing beauty existed even though everything in life felt so ugly. Seeing the stars, trees, and sky gave her a sense of hope. As she waited for him she tried to forget why she was so distraught and simply admired the stars and night sky. When she told him that her worst nightmare was coming true she didn't want to be hysterical, and looking at the stars allowed her to calm down. |
