when the devil wants to dance with you ,YOU BETTER SAY NEVER because a dance with the devil might last you forever - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The dungeons were a place Marcus spent the most of his time. It was a place where he could think and it was a place he could hang out with his friends, because most of the other Slytherin's were down here as well. Potions were one of the most boring classes ever, but it was fun because it was a good way to learn new way to hurt any younger student who happened to piss the fifth year off. There were many people on Marcus's bad side, a huge long list it what it could be called. The boy hated anyone who wasn't a pureblood. That meant if you were a mud blood, half-blood, half-breed or the worse a blood traitor. He knew of a few blood traitors but there was one that he had the most fun with. The thought made him smirk as he stood with a group of his friends looking out for anyone they could pick on. Marcus had made it his job to make sure this part of the castle was pure only. He had already pushed a mud blood into the wall this morning during class, now as the night was coming, everyone would be heading too their common rooms, but there were always the first years who happened to miss the moving stairs and end up right in the hands of a monster.
He spotted something on one of the desks in the potions classroom and moved into the darker room to see it. Someone had left their books lying on the desk and when he flipped open to see who it belonged to a wicked smile came across his face. He had just been thinking about the blood traitor and here was her book left on the table. He knew her well and she would be back for her book, she was prefect like that, and it was the prefect trap for Marcus to finish what he hadn't had the chance too when they had first come to Hogwarts. Oh this was going to be great, his thoughts as he nodded to his friends and told them of his plan. He would wait in the shadows until Hailey came back looking for her book and his friends would lock the door and she would be alone with him, and no one to save her. He wasn't stupid he had already heard what a seventh year had already done to her, Marcus didn't want to step on any toes but he had unfinished matters with Hailey and a Peterson always finishes what he starts.
Blood traitors were the low, very low on Marcus's list. Well anyone other than a pureblood were low to Marcus but blood traitors were just.. They needed to be dealt with and when the Dark Lord took over, that would be done, there would only be purebloods and they would high and mighty. Mud bloods were just pieces of dirt that needed to be stepped on. Half-bloods and Half-breeds were the same to him, any of them where the same, they would die when the Dark Lord took over, he couldn’t wait till the day that happened, the world would be pure and not tainted. He smirked again as he watched his friends back out of the classroom and he moved closer into the dark shadows on the classroom and waited for her to come back. Oh he knew she would back. He had watched her, stocked her, he knew her every move and what she did during the day, and who she was with. She would come, and Marcus Peterson would be waiting, waiting to finish what he had started. She was going down.

----------------------------- Potions class was, in Hailey’s opinion, horrible. She could not wait to get out of there and have the rest of the afternoon to herself. She hoped that Sirius was also free so they would be able to hang out together until next class. She was sweating as she stirred her potion. Her partner, a Slytherin, was one of the nicer ones and he didn’t care who saw it. The fifth year wished that more Slytherins were like him. Sirius would be rolling on the ground laughing his head off when she told him this. There were a few things that she kept to herself. Hailey had a thoughtful look as she added the next ingredients to the cauldron. One of the main reasons why she hated Potions was simple enough. Never put her in the same room with a handful of Slytherins. Merlin knows if she would be able to get out alive or not. She felt someone watching her. The corners of her lips twitched downwards into a small frown as she looked around. Mostly everyone was focused on the Potion. Everyone, except for one Slytherin. She locked eyes with Marcus and she shivered, quickly turning away. Her whole body tensed as she tried to relax. She focused all of her attention on the task at hand. “Ten minutes left!” Professor Slughorn shouted. He was walking around, peering into the cauldrons of the students. It was with such relief that Hailey was able to follow the instructions.
All in part due to the Slytherin’s help. She turned and asked him what his name was. He replied with Nathaniel. Hailey quickly blushed at the smile that was flashed at her. “Alright. Time’s up. Bring your glass up to the front and be sure to clean up.” Hailey did as she was told. She had no trouble with that. She placed all of her things into her bag. Or at least she thought she did. The brown haired girl was grateful that Potions was over with. The afternoon went by pretty fast after that. She was able to mess around with Sirius and James and finish up most of her work. Night came all too fast and Hailey was relaxing in the Ravenclaw Tower. She was working on a Potions essay that Slughorn had set for them. Due by next class, Hailey wanted to do her best. She was, after all, a Ravenclaw. There were a few answers that she needed to look up in the book. She went into her bag and frowned as she took out its’ contents. A couple more schoolbooks, notebooks, a few quills, and a small black book that was her journal. Did I leave it up in the dormitory? She wondered as she stood and quickly walked up the stairs. A search turned up nothing. Maybe I left it in the classroom, Hailey thought to herself and her stomach dropped. I have to get it.
A few minutes later she was out in the hallways. It seemed to be a miracle that she didn’t encountered any perfects or professors. Hailey did keep a close watch on her surroundings. The dungeons was, after all, the place that, a mere few weeks ago, she was tortured in. By none other than Rodolphus Lestrange. Hailey shuddered at the thought and forced it out of her mind. She quietly ran the hand that was forced into the fire. Nothing showed except for a lot of pink scars. It was healing and it would take a while. The mental part would take even a long time to heal as he succeeded in breaking her. A small shiver ran down her spine as she entered the classroom and glanced around. The classroom was empty but that didn’t mean anything. The hairs on the back of her neck sprang up as she walked over to grab her book. Her paranoia was kicking in it seemed. She pulled out her wand, hesitating as she wondered who was watching her. “Hello?” Her voice echoed around the class. “….is anyone here?” Hailey half hoped that someone was there with her. She would feel extremely foolish talking to herself otherwise. Tagged. Le Marcus! Words. 695 Notes. No problem at all lovely! Let me know if anything needs to be changed. Credits. when the devil wants to dance with you ,YOU BETTER SAY NEVER because a dance with the devil might last you forever - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Potions might not be his most favourite class, but most of the other Slytherin’s took it so he could hang out with his friends and he could also pick out new victims and keep an eye on some old ones. It was a perfect way to keep his eye on one blood traitor and plus maybe one of these days he could just dump her into cauldron and be down with it. But it wasn’t that easy and he liked to see her in pain, so he would have to just have to wait for a time he could do just that. To him Potions was a pretty easy class, because the person he was working with did all the work, and if he happened to come across a different type of partner then well he would just scare them into doing all the work. That’s how he finished most of his subjects he hated, he would just tract down some stupid little Ravenclaw, because everyone knew they knew the much, and force them to do it. It was quite easy and well fun at the same time. He always had his eyes on her, and if he didn’t there were many others who would. As the Professor walked by Marcus just made it look like he was working and as soon he walked past Marcus went back to staring at Hailey. He swore he would get her. He would finish what he had started all those years ago, though many times he had done some other stuff to her, but never to the max, because she would either get away, or someone would save her.
When the class was over he left the mess on the table for the other person to clean up and he left to hang out with his friends and do what they normally did. Find some first year to pick on, which had been a small hufflepuff boy who happened to walk into Marcus while walking down the hallways. That had been a big mistake for him, and had he known the young boy might have turned around the walked the other way. Of course when Marcus turned and called him out, everyone moved out of the way as he picked up the boy with no troubles and smashed him against the stone wall, and gave him a warning. Do it again, and I’ll make sure my face is the last you see. Another older student came to help him just as Marcus walked away laughing with his friends. It was getting dark and most Slytherin’s liked to break the rules and stays out of their dorms during the night and well the place they liked to go the most was the Potions classroom and the dungeons in general. Because one, no one went down there at this time and place snakes like to play in dark cold places to match the sick and dark hearts. Pure joy came over the Slytherin when he found the blood traitor’s school book still lying on the table and because he knew her so well; he knew that she would be back for it. She would want to finish that paper on time and without a book she wouldn’t.
So he knew if he just waited she would come walking through that door looking for her book. Marcus wasn’t stupid, he knew not to hurt her too much, no no Rod had already done that and a good job at that. He didn’t wont to step on the seventh years toes by playing with the blood traitor, because he knew that Rod already took a liking to playing with her. So Marcus could only do little, because he didn’t want one Rodolphus Lestrange after him as well. That’s all he needed, because his father would hear about it and of course Marcus would get the beating of his life. It had already happened before when he had gotten into a fight with another pureblood student and his father had found out. That had been one of the worst beatings he had gotten. You were never to mess with high noble pureblood families and the Lestrange’s where one of the many. As if on time, Marcus looked up from the shadows to see her walking through the doors into the classroom, when she moved to get her book and spoke, he smirked and stepped halfway out of the shadows, “Forget something”, he spoke, a grin appearing on his face as the door to the potions classroom slowly closed and locked behind her. His friends had done their job and were more than likely gone. Now the helpless lamb was caged with the hungry lion.
