[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]* hit me with your sweet love molly had laid awake for the past couple of hours. she didn't really know why, except that perhaps there was a certain other gryffindor that had confused her feelings and her sense of self even. she was confused, and she hated feeling so confused. so instead of being able to fall asleep, her mind had raced and questioned, and she had spent hours flipping back and forth in her bed. the truth was, she had no idea what she was thinking or even what she was feeling. somewhere in the past six years of being friends with sirius black, witnessing his actions and witnessing the line of women he strung along and discarded, she had become one of those giddy girls. she had no idea why, or even what she was feeling was true feelings. sirius always flirted with her, and she had always flirted back. but lately he just seemed to be paying more attention to her, and he just had this affect to him. this charm that drew so many women to him that had finally rubbed off on her. he made her feel so special and warm, and she hadn't felt that for a while.
but she felt different with sirius than she ever did with frank. frank was her first love, and someone who no matter how goofy or silly he could be, was someone she had always felt safe with. he was kind, gentle, and would love molly no matter what. even after they had broken up the strength of their relationship showed. they were friends, super close friends, but they just weren't meant for one another, and they realized that as they grew older. still, there was a comfort and security with frank. with sirius it was dangerous. molly had no idea what he was thinking, and knew that she was falling for his tricks of getting girls to fall for him. and she hated herself for it. absolutely hated the fact that she was considering him as, well, anything. she knew there was nothing to have with sirius as he wasn't a relationship sort of guy. but maybe she could change that? oh god molly, how many other girls had probably thought that, and look where they are, she thought. she shook her head, finally sitting up in bed. this was stupid and she wasn't about to get to sleep anytime soon.
looking around her room, she noted the other girls sleeping. she didn't want to wake them, so she lightly got out of bed, her feet bare as to not make any noise. she was in her pajamas, a pair of pajama pants and a tank top she had thrown on before bed. quietly, she grabbed a book and scooted out of the dorm room as quickly and quietly as she could, heading towards the common room. the fire would be blazing, and she knew she could always sit by the firelight and read her book. at least then her eyes might get tired and her mind might be distracted from sirius black. and if she ended up falling asleep on the couch, it wouldn't be the end of the world. she would hear others coming down, or someone would wake her up. and she was lucky that she didn't have classes until tomorrow afternoon. so either way, this was probably the best choice of action.
feeling the heat of the fire touch her toes as she got closer, she grabbed a blanket from the couch and pulled it around herself, sitting down by the fire, her back leaning against the couch. she let out a sigh, simply staring into the fire for a moment and enjoying the heat. was sirius really worth this much trouble if it were keeping her up at night? molly really didn't know. another couple of breaths and molly cracked open her book, her eyes scanning to where she had left off. it was a silly romance novel, but at least in her story things were going smoothly. molly settled into the blanket and couch, her mind slowly becoming distracted from her previous worries.

Ah the kitchen, normally this was a place that Arthur liked. He loved food and he also loved trying new type of foods, those including the food of the muggle world. He had made sure over the years that he tried each and every one he could find and know about. But tonight he wasn’t in the kitchen to be tasting food that the house elf’s were happy to make for the wizard, no Mr. Weasley was here in the kitchen’s tonight to scrub the floor, wash dishes and do the long list that Professor McGonagall had written out for him. He had done it again, this had been the third time this week and he was sure the teacher, and head of his house was just looking out for the young man, but it was Arthur’s own flaunt for falling asleep during class. He hadn’t slept in last few nights and it had been weighing down on his class time and his papers, of course Professor McGonagall had taken notice to the sleeping seventh during her class, around the morning he had fallen asleep on one of the stone wall in the courtyard, and with that she had put him to work. Just your thoughts together Mr. Weasley, she had said, this is your last and final year make it count.
He wishes it was just that easy to get his thoughts out of his mind. But he couldn’t just open tell just anyone about his love for one Miss Molly. He sure couldn’t tell the Professor, he had felt weird talking to Frank about it, and well the list was getting short of people he might be able to talk about it. He shook his head as he scrubbed the floor again and again, trying to wash away all his thoughts and feelings, so for once he could just sleep and forget everything, but his love was ruling his life and he needed to get it off his chest pretty soon or he was going to burst. The house elves were happy to have such a nice wizard helping them out and told Arthur that they would make him whatever he wanted for the rest of his time at Hogwarts. To him there were cute and fun little people. He never treated his house elf at home badly so why would he do so here. They were the same to Arthur he never treated anyone differently. They had been good listeners as Arthur had ranted on about his feelings about Molly, or her closeness still with Frank, and so many others things. The wizard had talked for hours as he washed dishes with the eager house elves as they loved to talk with the pureblood. They also liked to hear him talk on and on about things they would never get to hear about.
When he was finished, he smiled and thanked them and told them he would come by again soon. He knew that in the morning, he would have to report to Professor McGonagall, hoping that the seventh year had learned his lesson and not fall asleep in her class again. He made his way back from the kitchens and towards the Common room, where he would enjoy a nice hot coco and then hopefully fall asleep peacefully without his mind wondering to any thoughts of Molly. Ya like that was going to happen, his mind told him just as he gave the Fat Lady the password and the Common Room door open. He didn’t think anyone else would be up at this time but as he made his way towards the boy’s dorm, his eyes moved to see something sitting by the fire, and he almost stopped right there dead. There right before his eyes was Molly, her fire-red hair matched the flick of the flames of the burning fire and he could see the glow of her face from the light of the fire, and he almost had a heart attack right there and then. It took his a moment to get himself together before he slowly moved towards the boy’s dorm. He wanted to talk to her, tell her everything he was feeling, get it off his chest, but he couldn’t. Every time he tried to nothing came out and he ended up running away, like a scared little boy. That’s when the floor board creaked under his feet and he kicked himself for making noise. Well now you can’t get out of this because she more than likely hears that. So he moved a little closer to the light of the fire so he didn’t scare her. “Molly I didn’t know you were up”,he spoke rubbing the back on his head as he did, why he always got so nervous whenever he was around her.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]* hit me with your sweet love the pages of molly's novel turned quickly in her hands. or at least, it felt quickly, as time seemed to be going quickly enough. she was so comfortable, all cozy in her blanket and by the fire, and her mind had finally been taken from the subject of sirius black and onto the one in her story. she allowed herself to surrender to the words on the page, eager to continue with the story and surprised her eyes were allowing her to continue to read when they were so tired and lacked strength. but she wanted to keep reading, even if she fell asleep. at least then she wouldn't have time to walk back to her bed, get under the covers and begin to question her feelings for sirius yet again. there was too much room for her mind to wander, and for now she was quite happy with the distraction of her book.
perhaps she was too distracted as she didn't hear her fellow gryffindor and redhead come into the common room or pass by her. it was incredibly late so she wasn't expecting anyone back at this hour, so his sudden presence surprised the girl. she heard the creek of the stair and turned her head sharply, gasping. when seeing that it was only arthur, she let out the breath she had inhaled, and took a few more quick breaths. putting her hand to her heart, feeling it pounding against her hand, she spoke to the boy. "arthur, you scared me." she placed her bookmark back in her book and stood up slowly, turning to face the boy and where he stood. he had walked closer to her, over to the light of the fire, but his face still danced with shadows and light, the effects of the burning flames.
"i'm not supposed to be up. i'm supposed to be sleeping, but my mind just wouldn't shut off, so i ended up here," molly confessed, moving over towards the couch she had been leaning against to sit on it. she held onto the blanket, the air chiller than when she had first sat down, perhaps due to her previous proximity to the heat of the fire. those thoughts she spoke of popped into her head as if waiting to appear and she sighed slightly, her eyes wandering over to her friend. as much as she was enjoying being alone and reading her book, she was thankful that someone else could join her and keep her company, and perhaps take her mind off her problems. "but enough about me, what are you doing up?" it was strange to see him up this late, or anyone really, and she was wondering why he was coming back to the common room only now. the thought of him having been out with a girl crossed her mind and molly internally smacked herself, not thinking that might have been the case and awkwardly making him answer for his whereabouts. and he looked tired too, so perhaps he fell asleep somewhere else and was just sneaking back now. oh, molly didn't know and she didn't think she wanted to know. not that it should have bugged her. and it didn't... really. this was arthur. she just didn't think he was like that.
she pushed those thoughts along with every other thought she was having out of her head. she really needed to sort things out because she was not thinking like herself lately and everything she thought seemed to go through millions of filters, reading into one thing or the next. this was not something molly had the time for. besides, it was depriving her of her sleep. she shifted her body on the couch, placing her book down beside her as she looked towards arthur. "well, if you're not tired, you could join me and keep me company until i, or we, fall asleep. i could really use a distraction right now, and potentially a shoulder to fall asleep on," she laughed lightly, a smile on her face as she looked towards the gryffindor. her eyes were tender as she met his and her smile was warm, offering him a seat beside her on the couch. she hoped he would take her offer and she hoped he would come and sit next to her on the couch.
arthur had always been her good friend, but they hadn't spent much time alone, particularly lately. it wasn't a bad thing, but molly enjoyed his company and missed their alone moments. this was one of those opportunities she had to be with him and talk and they were just the two of them. everyone else was in bed, asleep. take it, she didn't want to dump her problems on arthur. in fact, she just wanted to talk about anything and everything apart from sirius black. she wanted to laugh and smile and talk until she couldn't keep her eyes open anymore. she hoped arthur would sit beside her, and they would be comfortable with one another. it was odd considering how comfortable physically molly was with frank, but with arthur, she had never really been too physical. hugs, of course, and the odd arm over the shoulder, but nothing more than that. not like frank, who would cuddle with her and hold her. but they were different, and molly didn't know sometimes what was acceptable between the two of them and what wasn't. but she wanted arthur to join her, she knew that much. but she didn't want to keep him up either. she did not want to be someone who did that! "of course, if you need to get to sleep i will completely understand and just get back to my book," molly quickly added, not wanting to put him in a tight spot. he at least had options now. stay, or go. molly hoped he would stay.

He had spent most of the night scrubbing the floor, on his hands and knees. Main was there a lot of floor to cover in the kitchens and the house elves thought it was funny to keep pouring water on the pureblood, so he had to stop and dry himself off. Then he had helped with the dishes and very thing else the house elves needed. He liked being around them. He had told them all his problems and his feelings for Molly and they had been caring and understanding, well most of them, some of them were like the normal house elves that served the pureblood families who had that pure blood line value. But the ones that had been nice to him, he knew it would be a place he could go if he ever needed to talk to some again, or if he ever needed anything. Walking back to the Common was nothing normal for this seventh year as he had spent some long night sitting outside in the courtyard trying to clear his head of all the thoughts that were in there right now.
It took nothing to get the Fat Lady to open up this late; she quite understood sometimes when young students tried to leave in the middle of the night. He didn’t think anyone would be up this late, so he hadn’t worried about coming into the Common Room and seeing anyone there. When he did spot Molly he tried his best to not scare her, because he was sure that she was either really tried, or she was in deep thought, so he would just leave her be and head up to the boy’s dorm, but of course they didn’t happen. As soon as he got close to the steps of the stairs, the floor made a noise he knew it might scare her, or at least make her jump a little. He had moved closer to her so she wouldn’t be too scared and knew who it was, but that’s hadn’t worked out as he had hoped. “I am sorry Molly”,he said with a bow of his head and a smile on his smile. He hadn’t planned on scaring her, he had just wanted to leave her with her peace and quiet and head up to his bed, where he had a feeling her would sleep again.
He nodded and listened to what she had to say. “It seems everyone’s mind won’t shut off these days”, he said. He could see that something was troubling Molly and Arthur hated it. He wanted to know what was going on with her and try and help in any way he could. He wanted to help his friends, “You really should be getting more sleep Molly”,he spoke softly to her all the while smiling sweetly. He wanted to see the best for Molly, he hated seeing her upset, tried or anything along those lines. He turned into protective Arthur and became that close friend he was to her, but he was a really close friend, who had gotten to close. He had fallen in love with her, and right now in was one sided. He had no clue if Molly felt the same. He knew she only saw him as that close friend. When the question came up about him coming back so late, he rubbed his face and ran a hand through his hair. “I just came back from the kitchens, Professor McGonagall had me do it after the last time I fell asleep in her class”. It had been the third time before she had come over to talk to the young man after class; she was worried about him and thought that maybe some work would get the boy back on tract. He wondered where Molly might think he was. He wished in could get inside her mind and see what she was thinking right now. He hadn’t been with any girl in the years that he had been at Hogwarts. He wasn’t the type to be around lots of girls and feel anything for them, they were always his friends. He had never been with a girl dating wise because well all his feelings were for Molly and he couldn’t date a girl knowing he loved someone else, he just wasn’t that type of guy.
He watched every movement she made, from standing to sitting back down on the couch. He had alone time with molly before, when they were younger they would study together, joke around. But as of late, Arthur couldn’t stand being around her too much, or he thought he might die right there. Or be a huge fool right in front of her, which he had a feelings he would end up being like when he finally told her how he eflt about her. “I am not tried at all”. He spoke even though his body was telling him otherwise, this was one of those rare moments he would be alone with Molly and he wasn’t running away like a silly boy every other time he had seen her walking down the hallway he would turn around the other way and start walking that way. He smiled, “Well then I am yours for the rest of the night, whatever the reason might be” and came over and sat down beside her, a warm expression on his face and he turned to face her. He hadn’t been this close to Molly in a while and it felt nice, even with his heart racing a mile and minute right now and his thoughts about his feelings were coming up.
He didn’t care if she just wanted to talk, he would sit there and listen to anything she had to say. He was a good friend like that, you could rant on and on about everything and Arthur would just sit there and listen to it all, and then he would do his best to help anyway he could. He wasn’t as close as Frank was with Molly, in terms of being physical. Arthur would always make sure that he gave his friends hugs, it was a sign of friendship and sometimes people just needed that hug to brighten their day, but as far as that Arthur never could go past that. Even these days he had a hard time hugging Molly as he felt he was going to drop dead right there. On the other hand Frank was in the word very physical with Molly, it made Arthur think he would never be like that with her. Truth was it hurt to see how close the two of them were still, after everything and here was shy little Arthur, acting like a small child whenever he was around her. Even if he had been tried he would stay up with Molly, he wanted to be that close to her, he wanted alone time with her without the group around them. Maybe there would be a moment in time where he could tell her how he felt without anyone else around. It always felt weird with other people around and him acting the way he did around Molly. He would stay with Molly until the very last days of his life, if only she knew that, if only she knew that Arthur loved her and he would never leave her. “No”, he said quickly and shook his head, “I am not going anywhere Molly”. He said looking up right into her eyes, so she knew that Arthur wasn’t going anywhere right now. Hell sleep could wait, when it came to one Miss Molly, the women he loved the world could stop and he wouldn’t care as long as he could have these small moments along with her, because he knew that it would be short lived and they would go back to the normal way of things. He smiled, “What book you reading?”,he asked, she of course didn’t have to answer the question but he just wanted to make talk between them.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]* hit me with your sweet love the last thing molly had expected was someone to come into the common room and that person to be none other than arthur weasley. but as the floor creaked and he made his apologies to molly, she couldn't help by feeling relieved that arthur was here with her and she had someone to talk to and just be with as the hours drifted on. the fire beside her crackled and she reveled in the warmth of it. she turned her attention to arthur, catching the words he spoke of so many students having a lot on their minds and not being able to turn them off. she supposed he was right. they were in seventh year now at hogwarts and everyone was stressed about schooling, even though it was merely october. there were others who were worried over family matters, and she supposed, like herself, over matters of the heart. was it her heart? or some other part of her she was concerned over? she directed her attention back to arthur. he had spoken these words, but his voice had lingered on them as if he were not merely speaking of the general populace of hogwarts, but of himself. molly's face turned into a frown as she looked to him, concern stretching over her face as it did many times before when she sensed a friend in need of an ear to listen. "is there something on your mind arthur? something that has kept you up at night and made you fall asleep three times in professor mcgonagall's class to end up in detention?"
three times was a lot to fall asleep in someone's class, particularly mcgonagalls, and knowing arthur like molly did, the action seemed uncharacteristic of his nature. arthur, like herself, was a good student and studied hard and didn't get into trouble, most of the time. she was worried that whatever this was that was keeping him up was a big deal. obviously it was a big deal if mcgonagall had sentenced him to a detention that she hoped would tire him out to the point of exhaustion. yet, here he was, standing in front of her and offering to sit up with her and wait in the meantime. he was a good friend and a kind heart, and molly valued the way he protectively told her she should have been getting sleep, though she brushed it off, knowing that it didn't mean a whole lot coming from the guy who hadn't been getting sleep himself. "you can't chide me for not sleeping when you're ending up in detention because of it," molly spoke, her voice in no way accusing or harsh. instead, her voice was soft and kind, not placing him in trouble like sometimes she did with her friends, but welcoming him into her own boat of sleep exhaustion. her voice allowed a small laugh to break through and she smiled warmly as he joined her on the couch.
molly never really got that close to arthur, at least not on a one on one basis, but as he came closer to where she sat to sitting next to her, she looked upon his face with a new sense of observation. the flames and shadows danced on his skin, and his fiery red hair matched the glow, as she assumed her own did as well. his eyes so kind and green, the perfect set of eyes to look over molly and provide her comfort in her state of chaos. and that freckled face and smile she had seen so many times and was now thankful to have seated beside her.
he spoke to her, telling her that he was hers for the night, whatever the reason and molly allowed a smile to spread across her face. "good. i'm glad. and i'm not sure what that purpose is for yet. probably just talking," she gestured with a shrug of her shoulders. "and maybe cuddling," she spoke, her voice light and teasing, yet heavy with the yearning for human contact. it was hard for her, not to just lean across arthur and allow him to hold her like frank still did. there were times that molly just wanted someone to hold her and tell her that everything was going to be alright. but frank was asleep upstairs, and though he probably wouldn't have thought twice about jumping out of bed and coming down to cuddle with molly, or even allowing molly to climb in his bed - strictly as friends - molly would have felt guilty going to frank in that way. they weren't together anymore, and even though their relationship was still amazing, there had to be boundaries. molly found herself missing that comfort of physical touch, especially at times when she felt lost and confused.
her eyes flickered over arthur's face, then down to her knees that were covered by the blanket surrounding her. "sorry, i, er, i didn't mean to, uh, make you uncomfortable... it's just..." she paused, her emotions getting the better of her. she took a deep breath, "i'm just confused. and i feel lost right now, and normally, i've had frank for situations like this. and he would hold me and tell me everything was going to be okay. but i'm not with frank anymore, and i know if i needed him he would be there for me, but... i just miss the physical comforts sometimes." molly couldn't believe she was saying this and admitting this to arthur. she felt like an idiot. she felt like the biggest idiot there was and put her hands to her face, feeling the embarrassment. she had made a slip up and was now spewing out her heart and arthur hadn't asked for any of this. she was tired and confused and didn't want to look arthur in the eye. "sorry, you probably think i'm an idiot. a pathetic idiot who doesn't need to come to you with all her sad stories and yearnings." molly took a breather in there, still not willing to turn her head to make eye contact with arthur. "i'm just rambling on, just forget about everything i said."
molly wished she could rewind. rewind this whole situation. how could she had let it slip out that she wanted to cuddle? but that wasn't too weird. except for the fact that molly had made it weird! she was absolutely, ridiculously crazy and pathetic and had no way to go around and make herself look like any less of an idiot. she just hoped that arthur would maybe forgive her, or forget this night ever happened. she was probably just carrying on like an annoying little school girl that he was merely tolerating for the sake of it. she was thankful when she remembered he asked about her book, but then almost hating admitting what her book actually was about. "my book? oh, my book. well, it's cheesy, and pathetic. oh god. you really are going to think i'm pathetic after tonight's encounter," she spoke, her eyes wide with slight panic, "it's a romance novel. they're cheesy love stories, and well, it was taking my mind off things."
molly couldn't believe where the last several minutes of conversation had led, but she felt like a blubbering fool. she finally turned to meet arthur's eyes, the ones that looked upon her so fondly and she couldn't help but let out a laugh. this was stupid. this was absolutely stupid. she was making a fool out of herself and there was no reason to feel so foolish. so she laughed. it felt good, and though she threw her hands to her face to block the blushing, something had released inside of her. this wasn't someone she needed to be embarrassed around, and even if she had embarrassed herself, what was arthur going to do about it? he had known her for years and had seen so many sides of her. this was just another side. hopefully, this mumbling, confused, honest side was one he liked.

Normally Arthur didn’t have to worry about anyone being up this late. All the other times that he had left no one was up, so he didn’t have to worry about someone bring up or running into anyone, and even if he did most of the time he just nodded and got out of there way. So it came to a surprise when he found molly wake at this hour and alone in the common room by herself. He had just been hoping to get past her and head up to the boy’s dorm but that hadn’t happened and now here he was talking to her, and they were completely alone, no one else was in the common room but them. It took everything for Arthur not to just run away like a little boy whenever he was this close to molly. Normally they were all together. Him, Molly, Alice and Frankie But now he was alone with her and he wasn’t sure if he would find himself ending up having a heart attack. It was true a lot of students had so much on their minds right now, and it was really only October, the school year had just started if you think about it, and half of them were stressing over it. Mostly the seventh years because they knew that this last years counted for everything. But of course that had only been a small part of what kept the young man up at night, and he could see that something was keeping her up as well, he hoped it was nothing. He cared so deeply for molly and didn’t want to see her like this, but it was something he couldn’t come out and tell her. He shook his head and looked down at the floor, not being able to look up at her face, “It's uh complained”. He first said and then looked up at her, “It’s nothing really, don’t worry”
She didn’t need to worry about him; he didn’t want to put his problems on her, because well his problem was her. How could he explain it too Molly within coming right out and telling her he loved her. He had been a good student though out the years he had been at Hogwarts, always on time, never late with anything, the first to class and was always one to get enough sleep, now that was a different story. He just couldn’t shut off his feelings for Molly; it wasn’t like it was going to go away anytime soon. Maybe if he told her then it would bring some stuff off his chest, but what if she didn’t feel the same way, would that cause more pain for him? No amount of detention or work was going to help him sleep better he needed to talk about everything that was on his chest and he wished so bad that he could say everything to her, but he just couldn’t find it within himself to do it. Even if he was close to falling asleep he would still have stayed up with her. Any alone time with Molly was like a gift. Because he knew times like these were very rare, and he would take them for what they were. He smiled a little and looked at her. “You know I just worry, that’s all” , he said. He didn’t care about himself right now, it was all about molly. He knew he was one to talk, when he wasn’t sleeping as well, but too him Molly was more important, if only she knew that. It felt different when he joined her on the couch, being this close to her.
Somehow he felt different being this close to her right now on the couch alone. Seeing her in the light of the burning fire, just made Arthur love her even more. From the moment Arthur had first seen Molly all those years ago, he knew he felt something towards her, sure at first it had just started out as being good friends, but as time went on Arthur’s feelings grew into something more. Really he was never this close to her, and if he was, it was because they were studying or hanging around Alice and Frank. Arthur acted differently when they were together in the group. It just felt weird being around his friends and having his overwhelming feelings for molly. He like this, being here right now in the moment with Molly, maybe things would finally come out and he would be able to get close to her, without everything coming out about his feelings.
He smiled and listened to what she had to say. Whatever Molly needed him tonight for, he was hear and willing to help her in any way that he could. If she just needed someone to listen he was here, if she needed someone to talk with, then he was here. As he listened to her say and maybe cuddling, he could tell she was longing for some type of human contact but at the same time, Arthur felt his heart beat faster he thought he would pass out right there. Every time he even got that close to Molly in that kind of way he felt he was just going to pass over and hit the floor, and now here she was asking him to cuddle with her. Molly the love of his life was now just asking him to cuddle with her, omg Arthur don’t freak out everything he going to be ok, don’t freak out, you can do this just keep calm and everything will be ok. He knew that of course Molly was still close with Frank, so Arthur knew he would have been the one that normally cuddled with her, frank was sleeping right now and he was sure he could just get up and go wake frank up. He knew his friend wouldn’t wait two seconds to spend some close alone time with Molly. Was it bad for Arthur to think about it this way? He knew how close they were and he hoped and one day him and Molly would be the same, when of course he finally opened talked about his feelings.
Then she started ramblings and Arthur just sat there and took in every word that she said. And she just said what Arthur was thinking about times like these frank would be there. He wanted so by right now to just lean over and tell her it was ok and she didn’t need to get bent out of shape about what she had said before. So many times in his mind he would just put his finger on her lips and tell her to shhh and come here and holds her close, but really all he did was just stared at her, as she keep ramblings on. “Molly…” , he started to say but his words were just blocked out by the time she started on talking again. He tried to open his mouth again to say something but nothing came as she just kept going on. No it hadn’t made him uncomfortable, and no he didn’t think she was an idot, or pathetic, he would listen to Molly talk and tell her about his worries and troubles all day along if he had too. When she finished speaking he shook his head, “Molly listen, if it makes you feel better, I’ll be your cuddle buddy for tonight, or whenever you need that comfort”, he smiled and looked at her. He didn’t know if maybe it was the thoughts that this was making Molly upset that suddenly make his chance his tune, made he feel more open about everything, if this was what Molly needed right now then so be it, it was time Arthur stepped up.
He leaned back again the couch and opened up his arms wide, so that she could cuddle in if she wanted too.“Come here”, he said looking right at her. Arthur wasn’t joking right now; if this was what she needed then so be it, he had told her he was her’s for the night no matter what it might be. If Molly had never said anything like that, maybe Arthur would have acted differently; he might not have found this new sense of things right now. She wasn’t making herself look like a fool. That’s what happens when you have so much on your mind you just started going on and on. It’s like the way Arthur normally acted when he was around Molly, he was like a little school boy who had his first crush, or a small boy on Christmas. So he knew how she felt right now, because half the time he acted like that. “I don’t think it’s cheesy or pathetic”. He told her straight up, romance novels were the best read, even for a guy. You could learn a lot from them, how to act towards ladies, how to be a better person. Arthur had a bag full under his bed of different muggle novels his father had sent him last year. Arthur read them all the time when his feelings for Molly were strong, they helped her get together and think of ways he could one day sweep her off her feet like prince charming in the muggle books. “Molly you’re not pathetic, you’re a strong beautiful women”. Had he just said that? Yes he had and he meant every single word of it. She was selling herself short, she was everything and more, and he wished he could tell her so. Honestly she was cute when she rumbled on. Though it pained him to see her so confused and putting down herself like she had been doing. He put a hand on her shoulder to comfort her, letting her know it was ok for her to be this silly side of her, he loved it. He wished there were days they could just be silly with one another, like couples did, but maybe that day would never come he didn’t know, he had dreamed about it own, his life with Molly. But those had just been dreams, he had a feeling deep down that those things would never happened. If he hadn’t told Molly how he felt by the end of the school year then it was too late. They would go there different ways and who knew what after that. Maybe things would work out for the best; he would have to get up the strength to tell her anything first before anything went further.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]* hit me with your sweet love molly had known arthur since first year. she remembered the firs time she saw him. it was on the train, and he walked by her compartment with another boy. he smiled to her kindly and shyly said a greeting of hello before they moved on to sit in the next compartment. then, as they waited to get sorted, molly nervously remember picking at the sleeves of her robe, worrying about where she was going to end up. unlike many families, her family really had no quorums over what house she ended up in. she was fairly sure she wouldn't have been put in slytherin, and any other house was really fine to her. take it, most of her family had been gryffindors, so inside she was secretly praying that was the house she ended up in. and without a whole lot of thought, the sorting hat placed her in gryffindor. she remembered the relief, and she remembered turning and seeing the boy with bright red hair that matched hers go up to the sorting hat. molly didn't know then that they would have become friends for the course of their stay at hogwarts, but when the sorting hat exclaimed gryffindor, she was thankful this boy would be joining her house. they had met and talked in first year and quickly became friends. and for seven years he had been her friend. someone who she studied with, laughed with, joked around with and teased. someone who she scolded for not doing his homework or getting into trouble, and someone who she was able to talk to and she knew if she asked would have been there for her. but this was different. this was a different arthur she hadn't seen yet.
somewhere between those first moments she remembered seeing him and this night, arthur had grown into a young man. molly wondered where this new arthur was coming from. when had he changed to be so caring and compassionate for her? she knew he was a kind and gentle person, but the way he looked protectively to molly and the way his voice spoke softly to her, she felt a kind of compassion only maturity could bring. since when did arthur start worrying about her? she had always been the one who worried about her friends. she was maternal that way and all her friends had accepted that molly would be constantly worrying and fretting over them. she liked making sure her friends were doing their best and didn't mind reminding them of things. she worried about her friends well-being and constantly wanted to comfort her sad friends. but since when did arthur become so worried about molly?
as he made his way towards the couch and towards her, he responded to molly, giving her the relief that he was alright with her need for physical comfort. as he sat next to her and opened his arms to her, molly scooted over closer to arthur, hesitant but calmed by his action and fell into his body. she wrapped her arms around arthur's stomach, allowing her head to rest on his chest. she felt the warmth of his body and for a moment felt nervous about their proximity. had she ever been this physically close with arthur? no. in fact, she didn't think she had ever been this intimate with anyone except frank. but arthur's body and the scent of his body that molly smelt, her face so closely to his skin, felt comfortable and welcoming. she took a deep breath, relaxing further into his arms and immediately feeling the wave of security she was looking for. in his arms the thoughts about sirius seemed to drift away.
she reveled in the silence, feeling his chest move up and down against her head and listening to his pounding heart. his voice broke the silence in response to her cheesiness. "molly you're not pathetic, you're a strong beautiful women." molly smiled against his chest hearing those words, and again, wondered how he could say all of this. her night had started out so horribly, tossing and turning in her bed as she confusingly thought about sirius and the potential she had with him. she had just hoped to get some reading in to be able to close her eyes and sleep. but then arthur had walked in, and her night was becoming a completely different experience than she had ever anticipated. she felt so calmed by his presence and confidence in her. it was surprising and new but molly enjoyed feeling her body against his. enjoyed her arm draped across his center and his arms holding her close.
"thank you for saying that arthur," molly responded finally. she moved her head slightly so she could get a better look at arthur's face before she spoke. "when did you become so sure in me?" a smile touched her lips as she said the words, wondering perhaps when they had put up boundaries for their friendship, or whether or not she had ever realized how much she meant to him as a friend. boys had a funny way of showing emotions or if they cared for someone. it seemed that arthur cared more than he let on and that made molly happy. she cared for arthur probably more than he thought or expected. this outward affection for molly though was something that didn't feel awkward, but felt simple, easy. she leaned back down to arthur's chest, missing the warmth of his body even though she had the fire blazing and the blanket around her feet.
she closed her eyes, feeling the beginnings of sleep beginning to dawn on her. she breathed him in once more, her ear pressed against his chest. she listened to the air going in and out of his lungs, and she could hear the rapid pounding of his heart. his heart was racing all the while her heart and breathing were slowing down. "arthur," molly whispered not wanting to disrupt the peacefulness the two of them had created, but confused by the rate his heart was pounding. "you're heart's racing," she spoke gently, moving her hand from his side to lay against where his heart would be. "why?" she was hoping everything was alright with arthur and that this closeness to molly wasn't something he was uncomfortable with. the last thing she wanted to do was make him uncomfortable, especially when he was doing the complete opposite to her.

He still remembered it. To him it was like yesterday when he first that young girl sitting on the train. He remembered having a strange feeling as he walked by and smiled at her. He remembered when he was sorted into Gryffindor, and then he had spotted her there as well, and he was over joyed. Then he had learned her name was Molly and they became friends during their first year together, and then after that for the seven years to follow they had been friends. But somewhere in the mix of things, Arthur had gotten feelings for Molly. He saw her more than just a friend, over time he had started to love her, heck he did love her with all his heart and soul. But it had been one sided all those years. To Molly, he was still just her friend, that’s how she saw him. He had loved her from afar, never really telling may people about how he felt towards her. But at first Arthur had been scared to tell Molly how he felt, the years at he had seen her with different guys, each time causing his to get go and hide somewhere crawl up into a ball and put himself down about ever having a life with Molly. His mind always raced around different ideas, maybe she didn’t love him the same, maybe he wasn’t her type and maybe it would never happened. He would just go one loving her and then they would go their own ways and that would be the end of it. At times his feelings were overwhelming. Causing him to lose sleep, stop eating and even act like a fool whenever she was around. He would always try to walk the other way when his feelings came up, he acted like a shy little school boy never really getting up the courage to tell her how he felt.
He had always he been there for Molly no matter what she had needed over the seven years, he had always cared about her deeply, more so when he had known he loved her. He always worried about her every day, where she was, how she was doing, if she was happy or sad. If she was upset about something he wanted to know. He talked to many of the friends, getting from each of them a little piece about Molly without telling them right now that he was doing this because he loved her. He didn’t know if maybe because of them being alone tonight had caused him to find his new sense about opening up his feelings and telling her how he had felt for the last few years, or maybe it was the fact that this was there last year and if he didn’t tell her soon he would never be able too, they would walk away from Hogwarts and Arthur would still have that love for her, he would carry it to his grave. She was his everything and it was about time he stepped up and told her.
He had to stay calm, he told himself as he moved towards the couch and opened his arms. If he acted weird or did anything she might notice, so he keep as calm as he could as she moved closer to him. He felt his breathing stop for a moment as she crawled close to him body and put her head on his chest and her arms around his stomach. Arthur breathed in again; just act normal that’s all you have to do Arthur is act totally normal. He put his arms around her and held her close. Being this close to her made Arthur wanted to pass out. The scents and warmth from her was intoxicating. It was like being drank on alcohol without the alcohol. He could sit like this forever if he could. He hoped she was feelings better being like this. This was what she had wanted and he wondered what ever had been on her mind to cause her to be like that before was now gone by being close with Arthur right now.
Who knew that the night was going to lead to this, to him the night was going to end with him heading up to the boy’s dorm and not falling asleep again like so many times before that, the work had made him a bit sleepy but his thoughts would keep him awake. He had meant every word about her being a strong beautiful woman. She was the most beautiful women he had ever seen. Most times he could never keep his eyes off her, because when she entered a room it was like the whole place was on fire, with her fiery red hair, and those eyes. Arthur could stare into them for days on, and her smile, he melted every time she smiled. These were just many of the things Arthur loved about Molly. He was enjoying having her close to him, as they had never been like this before. It felt right, just like in his many dreams he had about them, this was one of those moments he had been waiting for. Is this the same way Frank felt when he held her close? Maybe years ago when they had been dating, but he knew Frank took care of Molly like she was a sister, Arthur felt a little more than that towards Molly and maybe tonight he would get up the courage to tell her and not be a total fool. “You’re welcome”
[/b], he said smiling as she looked up at him and he felt his heart melt as he looked right into her eyes. Almost forgetting she had said something to him, he smiled sweetly, “I always have”[/b], was what he said to her question. He had always believed in Molly, she could do anything, be anyone, he was always sure in her, he had hoped one day he would be able to tell her that. He was so hard for him to tell her about how he felt. When he got the feelings for her, he stopped even flirting with other girls, of course it was normal for teenage boys to start flirting with young girls, but no he had stopped, he hadn’t even looked at another girl that way, only as friends, because his heart was always for her. He didn’t know how Molly felt towards him, he knew for sure she saw him as a friend, and he knew that Molly cared deeply for her friends, she was like a mother hen some days, but was there more? If Arthur told her about his feelings would she return, or would he look like a total fool and have to hide away from Molly for the rest of his year here. All these thoughts were causing his heart to race, faster than it normally would, or before. Come on Arthur calm down, but he couldn’t. His feelings were coming up now and being this close to Molly… Maybe she won’t notice he told himself. Too late for that. She called out his name and he mutter at her next comment, “Dam it”[/b], muttered under his breath, hoping that she wouldn’t notice that but he was sure she would. Calm down it’s going to be ok, just don’t think about it. But how could he not the women he loved were in his arms right now, how could his heart not race this fast. Oh boy, his was in trouble now. Then she asked why, oh man oh man, ok you can do this just relax. Merlin he couldn’t relax right now, this wasn’t the time for relaxing. Oh Merlin. He felt his face go red, and suddenly become hot. Was it just him or did it get hotter in here. He loosened his tie on his uniform a bit and took one arm off her so he could rub his now red and burning face with his hand, crap he was sweating now. Ok this was not good, he felt like he was going to pass out or something. “I.. urm umm.. …..”[/b], nothing was coming out of his mouth. His mouth felt like it was so dry, as well as his lips. He felt like he was going to throw up, pass out or maybe even have a heart attack right there. What were the signs of a heart attack again? Ok get together. She going to notice by now and worry. “It’s because I uhh..”[/b], there you go again, dam it boy pull yourself together and tell her, he breathed in deep and swallowed, “Molly there’s something I need to get off my chest and it’s kind of umm important”[/b]. Of course it was important; he had to tell her tonight, Molly was not just some girl, he need to make his feelings known before it was too late. ▐ T A G G E D » MOLLY PREWETT ▐ W O R D S » 1,491 ▐ O U T F I T » ▐ L Y R I C S » PANIC AT THE DISCO ▐ N O T E S » Yay! [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]* hit me with your sweet love as the words 'i always have' left arthur's lips, molly herself felt her heart skip a beat. since when had arthur always thought she was a strong, beautiful woman? why had he never told her this before, or why was he telling her now? molly had never thought about hearing such words come from arthur, but now that he said them, molly really enjoyed the sound of his voice and his words complimenting her. molly wondered then if she had ever heard arthur talking about another girl the way that he just spoke to her. she was sure that he had. arthur was an attractive, kind, sweet guy, and she was sure there had been many girls who had been interested in him. but she couldn't recall a time where he graciously flattered a girl like he was now. but then again, molly could have been reading into the compliment. after all, she had asked him to come and sit with her and he was her friend after all. and sometimes friends needed a bit of cheering up. was this one of those cases? or was this something else?
as she asked arthur about his pounding heart, she couldn't help hear it continue to pound. as she moved away from his chest to look at him in the eye, she noted the intensity and nervousness in his eyes and his body language. arthur seemed nervous. since when had she ever made arthur nervous? she had known him for so long. there was absolutely no reason for arthur to have been nervous around her. he began to speak, but instead mumbled something not exactly audible for molly to hear. he seemed to be at a loss of words and molly hated to have made him that way, but she had thought she was only asking him a simple question. if only she had known the effect she truly had on him was, she never would have put him in this position.
as she looked at arthur she studied his wonderfully bluish-green eyes. had she ever really noticed they were bluish-green before? they seemed to stare right into her, piercing her as she fumbled with words. he never maintained her gaze long, as if her eyes were seeing into him as well. a part of her felt worried about arthur. he wasn't sleeping well, he was getting into trouble and ending up in detention, and now in a moment that should have been relaxing, he couldn't control the beating of his heart. was there something medically wrong with him? or was there something else that was the matter. but another part of molly, a small subconscious part of molly, was beginning to stir with curiosity and wistfulness. only hours ago had she been tossing and turning, worried about what another gryffindor thought of her. now sirius black seemed to have disappeared from her thoughts and instead, observations of arthur's appearance and remembrance of their memories filled her head. questions of overlooked statements and gazes seemed to skim the top of her train of thoughts. she was focused on arthur, but in the back of her head the unanswered question of whether or not there were puzzle pieces she should be putting together crept up.
"molly there's something i need to get off my chest and it's kind of umm important."
he had finally managed to speak the simple but weighted sentence and molly's focus perked up. she nodded slightly and sat up straighter, her eyes narrowed and ready upon arthur. whatever he had to tell her she was now fully prepared to hear it. whether it was something to do with frank, about him or his health, or about him having a crush on some girl that he needed help talking to. whatever the reason, molly was going to be there for him and support him, no matter what. he had been so gracious to step up for her tonight when she needed someone, now she was going to step up and do the same thing for him. perhaps after all this time she had really underestimated what their friendship meant to the other, but tonight seemed to be a step to bringing them even closer, or at least putting into perspective just how much the other cared for them.
though she had sat up straighter, pulling herself away from arthur's body, she didn't want to completely break physical contact with him, wanting him to make sure he knew she was still there for him. so she reached out and took a hold of his hands, clasping them in hers. her eyes wondered back to his face and she licked her lips subtly, taking a deep breath before responding to him. "whatever you have to tell me, i'm here for you, no matter what," she spoke her eyes not betraying the seriousness of her voice as they peered into his. "so what is it arthur that has been keeping you up at night and making your heart race?" molly's voice was gentle, kind. she rubbed her thumbs along his hands in a caring, affectionate way, hoping to be able to soothe his nerves in whatever way she could. this was something she felt she knew how to do - comfort. she hoped she could comfort arthur. now what was it he needed to tell her?

He wasn’t sure if Molly was used to hearing those kinds of words. More so coming from his mouth, he had never said anything that deep to her before, but he was feeling more, so much more than a friend right now, so the words had seemed fitting at the time. He always had seen her a strong girl, the moment he had met her that first year and gotten to know her more. By fourth year he had known he had liked more than a friend but could not come up with the words to say so. By fifth year came around Arthur knew he really liked it and he was sure about his feelings, and by sixth year he had loved her. Love was a big word, to love someone with all your heart wasn’t something to joke about and by the beginning on this year, Arthur couldn’t handle it anymore, Molly was always in his mind, she was always in his thoughts and it was bringing down his life. He shouldn’t stand it anymore, it was over taking everything that he did, and he knew if he didn’t do something tonight it might just walk on by. Or maybe it could blow up in his face right here and now and he would have to live his life without the thought of Molly being there with him. He didn’t know if he could live if Molly didn’t somehow feel the same way about him as he did towards her. He would more than likely dead of a broken heart. He knew though if things went downhill from here he would have to spend the rest of his school year hiding away from her, or he would have to leave Hogwarts for good, because he wouldn’t be able to bring himself to ever look or talk to her again.
No matter how much he tried to tell his heart to stop pounding it wasn’t listening and as each second went by he would feel his body getting hotter and more sweat dripping of his forehead. He watched her every move as she moved any from where she had been laying on his chest to get a better look at her. He breathed in a sigh. Was it just him or did she looked more beautiful from this angle. Merlin she was going to be the death of him pretty quick if he didn’t get his heart to stop. He rubbed the sweat off his forehead again as he stared at her, getting lost in the moment, those eyes, that face he would just sit there and stare at it forever, everything about her made his heart jump and skip a beat, or in this case make it pound so hard it felt like it was going to jump right out of his chest. He loosed his tie a bit more as he tried to get some words out. This was bad, he had to say something now and there was no going back now Arthur. He was going to have to deal with the choices he was about to make. Wither they ended up being good or bad, this was it. He had put himself up for this; he could have said no and gone to bed. But he would just be running again, it was time to stop running and face it head on, even if he didn’t know how it was going to end.
He looked away from her for a moment, not wanting to stare to long because if he did, he would end up just staring there all night long and not even remember what he had said or what he was doing. Molly always did that to him, took the breath right out of him whenever she entered a room, whenever she walked by and smiled with those lovely lips. The way her hair sparkled in the firelight, Merlin if Arthur kept on going he was to pass out more just from the overload in his brain. He had always been in the background over the years; he had never made his feelings towards her known. He had always been scared, maybe was that what his mind had been telling him all these years. He didn’t know if he would have been able to tell Molly what he was about to tell her now, a few years ago. He had sat back and watched the guys come and go and each time it broke a small part of his heart apart and he just kept pushing away the idea that she would see then same thing in him as he did in her. He made sure that Molly never noticed to much about the way he looked at her, the way he felt around her.
Somehow he had been able to speak, after almost passing out right there he had formed words. The moment when he was going to tell her everything. It was now or never. If Arthur just keeping pushing the idea away things would get worse to the point where he would just lay in his bed and not want to more, his deep love for her was controlling his life and he hoped by telling her tonight how he felt would take some of that of, or just push him deeper into something else. He just hoped things would go over good and he wouldn’t have to hide away the rest of the school year. He had to shake away these thoughts or he was going to get himself worked up. He wished he just need to talk to Molly about something else. But he had to do this, there was no going back now. He had to do it, no matter how many times his mind was screaming at him to not to and how he should have just walked away and gone to bed. But he was tired of running away like a scared little boy it was time to face it head on. From what he could see Molly was willing to hear him out, which was good, he hoped she was ready for what he had to say.
When she took a hold of his hands he gripped them, not to tight, but just enough to keep that contact with her, because right now he needed it if he was going to tell her. He took in a big sigh and tried to get his mind together to find the right words to say. He nodded his head when she said that she was here for him no matter what. Would she feel the same way when he heard what he had to say? Ok Arthur you can do this, just breath and find the words you need to say. As she spoke he looked up at her, and almost melted right there as she rubbed her thumbs along his hands, it almost made him calm. It calmed him down to the point he was ready for this. “You”
[/b], was all the came out at first and he looked right at her, not breaking away, “Molly you’re the reason my heart beats this fast”[/b], no man here is comes, he never broke contract with her eyes the whole, he shook his head and chuckled a bit, “I can’t eat, I can’t sleep, and every thought I have is of you”[/b], as he finished his words, he couldn’t stand it anymore, he couldn’t take it any longer, and he did something he thoughts he would never do, only in his dreams, something about tonight had given him the courage to do this. Without thinking he leaned across what distance was between them and he kissed her. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]* hit me with your sweet love the next few moments of molly's life were moments that she would remember forever. as they passed by her, the moments felt like a blur, as if she were outside her body watching the events happen. she knew that she had spoken, that she had asked him what it was that was bothering him and keeping him up at night. she had prepared herself for the worst, praying that she would be able to do everything she could in her power to help him and make him feel better. but she wasn't expecting what was uttered from his lips.
"you." echoed in her head over and over again, the words seeming so innocent and yet so weighted. the sensation of shock flooded through her body as molly felt the world she knew freeze around her. arthur continued to speak and she heard the reasoning for why his heart was pounding so fast, why he couldn't sleep through the night and why he was having problems concentrating on anything. it was all because of her. molly. all he could think about was her and molly stared, unsure as to how to process this information. this was probably the last thing she had expected to hear coming from arthur tonight and in those seconds of pause thoughts of arthur, his actions, her actions, sirius black and the beginning of her endless sleep, and the future blurred together. along with feelings of confusion, excitement, guilt and happiness swirled throughout.
molly didn't realize she was holding her breath or that her heart had quickened until she felt arthur's lips press against hers. in that moment she was swept away and all she could feel was the passion and warmth of arthur as his lips moved against her own. she didn't fight back. no, she didn't push him away or reject him in the least bit. if anything her body was reacting to arthur before her brain was, and she found herself kissing him back. her lips eagerly finding another pair whom she had never suspected desired her own. her hand reached up to touch his face, his neck, his chest where his heart was beating rapidly, just as her own was.
this was crazy. everything about this seemed so fast, so unexpected. but molly couldn't deny how natural this felt. how seemingly and unknowingly right she felt in his embrace and against his lips. molly had craved this feeling. she had felt it once, there was no doubt about it, with frank. but there was something her and frank didn't share that ultimately ended the relationship. but frank and arthur were so different, but yet so alike. as she kissed arthur she couldn't help imagine what her life would be like in his arms. the security, the hope, the passion that arthur was all emitting just through this simple action. and how long had he kept all of this to himself?
molly tried to think back to all the signs. all the things that would have signaled his interest in her. had she been so blind to not see them? or had he been clever enough to keep them hidden. obviously not too well if he was getting in detention. but molly hadn't put two and two together. had others? did frank know? or alice? surely they would have told her. but then again, it wouldn't have been in their right to share that type of information with molly. only arthur would have been the one to open up and confess his feelings for molly. and a wave of relief washed over molly as she was thankful he had finally found the courage, with a little bit of her help, to tell her and show her how he felt.
she finally pulled away slowly from arthur, her hands still remaining on his jaw as she held his face close to hers. "but when? how?" was all she could ask. she knew that those words weren't exactly the most reassuring, but she hoped that her responsiveness with the kiss and her gentle touch was helping to calm any nerves he may have. but molly was confused as to when all of this started. when did he know that he was interested in molly and how long had he been hiding it from her? they had been friends for so long and arthur had always been someone whom molly valued in her life, but when did he begin to think of her as more than just a friend? and did molly think of him as more than a friend? her kiss and the way she had responded to him definitely told her that she couldn't cancel out that perhaps she had developed feelings for him she was even unaware of. or that there was something in her that felt compelled by his trusting way and generosity. molly couldn't deny there was something there from her end.
but there was sirius and her feelings for him. that was something she couldn't overlook, could she? she was confused as it was about sirius. wasn't that what started the ball rolling for tonight's events? she had found herself unable to sleep due to how much she was stressed and thinking about sirius. she had feelings for him, even if it was some silly school girl crush, and she couldn't just dispose of those feelings. sirius had made her feel special. not like he didn't make every other single girl feel special, but she had fallen for his charm. but as molly mulled over her thoughts about sirius she couldn't help but feel the shallowness to the whole situation. she had a crush on sirius and the two of them had always joked around and flirted. normally she was able to challenge him and test him. now she seemed to be enjoying and falling for him. but she knew sirius and the way he was. was molly really going to be that one girl to change him? probably not. and was a relationship or whatever he wanted with molly what she would want? again, the answer was probably not. molly wasn't that type of girl to just date anything. she needed to feel and feel deeply in order to be in a relationship. she had that with frank. a love that, though young, was real, and that was what molly wanted again. could she have that with arthur? did she want that with arthur? she wasn't sure. the idea definitely didn't turn her away running, but all of this was happening so fast, she had no idea what to do really.
turning her attention back to arthur, she studied his eyes, searching for answers she didn't even know what the questions were. all she knew was how kind and loving those eyes looked back at her. slowly, she couldn't help but speak the words that came from her lips, "you'd take care of me, wouldn't you?" she didn't know why she felt like she needed or wanted the reassurance, but she did. she wanted to know that if she was going to start this investment in arthur that he would be there for her no matter what. that was could be weak and not always strong and he would be there for her to take care of her. and that he would be there for her always. as a friend, and as whatever else this relationship could develop into. maybe she didn't quite know how things were going to go at the beginning of this night, but as far as she knew now, new paths were presenting themselves, and other paths were showing their shortness. all she knew was that she really knew nothing. except for the fact that molly prewett was keeping arthur weasley up at night and couldn't get her off his mind.
