[atrb=width,240] it had been three weeks. three weeks since she had last spoken to anthony that was for anything apart from a call on the quiddich pitch. it had been three weeks since she had attempted to find her sister any sort of match, especially with the one slytherin whom she was currently not speaking to. three weeks since she had been able to look anthony in the eye. three weeks since he had shattered her perception and told her he had feelings for her and not her sister. three weeks since she had kissed him. and for three weeks she had been trying to figure out why she had kissed him, what it meant, and why she had the desire in her to kiss him again. it was driving her crazy. every night she laid awaken in her bed, confused as to what had made her plant one on the fellow slytherin. and why was it so hard to talk to him now? aralynn had kissed plenty of guys in her high school career, many of them for nothing more than a one night stand, or for fun. and with every single one of them she had no shame or discomfort with talking to them like regular after the event. but anthony was different. not only did she kiss him, but she kissed him after he confessed that he had feelings for her. strong feelings. aralynn felt herself sighing in classes as she drifted from the present back to that moment on the quiddich pitch. she could feel the rain against her skin, his words echoing in her head, and the look in his eyes. she could almost feel the electricity like she did that night. it was consuming her and she had no idea why. sure, anthony was attractive, and intelligent, and a great specimen for the eligible pureblood males, but she had been so set on him being with alex, not her. but he had put her in her place and aralynn knew that she could go too far with her scheming and planning, and her matchmaking between him and her sister were no different. she hadn't taken into consideration his feelings, or really alex's feelings. she had learned her lesson, and had been schooled by the student. she had no idea how to proceed with the new information and the new feelings that she was beginning to feel bloom inside her. she couldn't get anthony or that kiss out of her head. she didn't have to kiss him, but she did. and she would do it again. in fact, she was looking forward to the next time she would be able to do it. but what did that all mean? aralynn was aralynn, she was not someone to constantly be thinking about one sole person. she was not one for relationships. yet, she had found herself on several occasions in the last three weeks pulling herself out of daydreams that involved a relationship with anthony. attending family functions, exchanging christmas presents, getting to know him and his family. she really only knew the barest of things about him, and yet she was craving to know more. three weeks went by and there was nothing more than awkward exchanges on the quiddich pitch and aversion of eye contact if seated close by one another in the great hall during meal times. three weeks of nothing but anthony mulciber on aralynn's mind. three weeks for aralynn to consider all aspects of the situation and come to really no conclusion but that she should probably talk to anthony. and she should probably tell him that she was pretty sure he wasn't alone in the feelings department, but that truth be known, aralynn had no idea what she was feeling, or how to do any of this. real feelings and real relationships were not something aralynn knew much about. and that was a confession she hated to admit. so instead of searching for anthony with the full intention of making him come to his senses and go on a date with her sister, aralynn was looking for anthony to simply bridge the gap that had come between them in the last few weeks. she just needed to see him, to talk to him and express to him that the silence between them needed to come to an end. she also supposed she might share with him the fact that she hadn't been able to get him out of her head for the past three weeks. he really had made quite the impression on her. so again, she went on a search for him. and yet again, she could not seem to find him anywhere. it was late though. already she knew students were heading to bed who had early classes in the morning. everyone she had mentioned anthony to had no idea where he could be, so she continued to search. she didn't know why or how, but as she began to walk up the stairs to the astronomy tower, she knew this is where she would find anthony. strange, she thought, as the astronomy tower was one of the places that she felt the safest. it was the place where her and alexandra would go to and talk. under the stars was a place of comfort she had become accustom to since a young child, pouring her heart to her sister and sometimes her mother. under the night sky made her feel protected. it also made her feel like she was only a tiny spec in this whole world. a spec that one day wanted to make a difference in something. maybe this was a starting point. when she reached the top of the stairs, she saw anthony and he saw her. for a moment they were frozen, eyes finally fixed on one another, breath caught in aralynn's throat. he was sitting down against one of the pillars, and he looked sublime. she was momentarily stunned as she continued to stare at him, unsure whether or not she was welcome, but seeking permission to enter his private space that suddenly felt alien to her. without breaking eye contact, she took the final step into the tower, breaking the barrier that seemed to have separated them for the past three weeks. "hi," was all she could manage to say as her eyes scanned his for any sort of indication this was a waste of time. she couldn't find it. finally dropping her eyes, she let her gaze fall to the floor as she gravitated towards an adjacent wall to where he was seated. flickering her gaze back to him, she silent slid down the wall to a seated position. all of the things she had wanted to say, the words she had planned to say left her memory as she stared at her knees in front of her. what was she supposed to say? she let out a sigh of breath and said the only thing she could think of, stupid as it sounded, "i've been looking everywhere for you." then she managed to finally ask something of relevance, "are you okay?" | [atrb=width,100] words , 1,191 words tagged , anthony mulciber notes , i actually couldn't wait until tomorrow, so here it is. i hope this works well for what you were thinking too |
