Anthony was hiding, or rather lurking, in the Slytherin common room. His arms and legs were crossed and he was glaring at the floor darkly. He was really not in the mood right now. He was avoiding his housemates at all costs. Especially one named Aralynn Nott. She was trying to set him up with her Ravenclaw of a sister. The nerve of that girl. Every waking moment the girl would bombarded him with questions. To be frank he was getting quite tired of it. He wouldn’t admit it out loud but she could be pretty annoying. Aralynn was also quite attractive. He blinked, rather startled by the thought that had crossed his mind. Well…this was interesting enough. I suppose this is what I get when I try hard to avoid her, he mused silently to himself. He would never admit it to no one. He uncrossed his arms and ran a hand through his black hair. Sulking won’t do any good, the sixth year thought to himself. I need to do something productive. As that thought ended another thought came to his mind. The Quidditch pitch. He hadn’t been outside to practice in weeks. This couldn’t have been a better excuse. He smirked, his brown eyes glittered as he uncrossed his legs and stood, stretching before he started walking up the stairs to the dorms but he stopped as his foot touched the first stairs.
It would be better enough to go down the way he was. Besides, would he really be up to change in his Quidditch uniform? Anthony scowled and shook his head slightly at himself. He did want to go to his dorm to get his broomstick. He was careful enough to keep quiet as he opened the door with a small creak. He kneeled down and groped underneath the bed for a few minutes before having his fingers brushing against the handle of his broom. Ah ha. He thought before sliding it out. Here we go. Standing Anthony forgot to watch what he was doing and his head hit the bottom of the bed. He swore for a few seconds, wincing as he rubbed the spot. That’s going to hurt for a bit, he thought, scowling as he stood and walked out, closing the door carefully from behind him. “Stupid idiot,” He told himself. “You should have known the damn edge of the bed was right there.” Muttering underneath his breath to himself he stalked out of the common room, in a worse mood than he had been before. Maybe some flying would do him some good. It would give him a chance to clear his head for once. There really wasn’t anything in that head of his, as his father would often say to him. Anthony snorted as he shook his head again. He really didn’t care what his good for nothing father said to him.
The man never mattered to him once so why should he now? His shoulders slumped a bit as he thought of his living situation at home. The only people that were at the manor were his father, grandfather, and him. Well unless you count the house elves but those little creatures didn’t matter to him. His mother had died when he was only three years old. He didn’t remember her that much at all. The sixteen year old sighed softly to himself as he stepped out into the lawns. A light breeze ruffled past him and he closed his eyes. A few drops of rain fell on him. Oh great, he thought as he opened his eyes to glare at the sky. Just what I need. Once he had gotten to the spot he positioned his broom and mounted. He kicked up and soon he was flying a mere few inches off the ground. I should fly higher, he thought to himself. There was soon a drastic change in him as he started to fly. His eyes started to sparkle and his cheeks turned red from the slight wind. All of his thoughts were wiped away clean. For one blissful moment he was himself. He really didn’t care that no one was around, or so he had thought. Tagged. Aralynn <333 Words. 700 Notes. Not my best starter post. I'm still getting the hang of playing him again. Let me know if anything needs changed.

L O V E ; I T W I L L N O T B E T R A Y Y O U D I S M A Y O R E N S L A V E Y O U * ------ it will set you free
sometimes in life, a girl had to take her sisters life into her own hands, and that was just what aralynn was doing. her sister, alexandria had somehow managed to walk herself into a date with none other than gilderoy lockhart. that creep of a hufflepuff that constantly hit on anything with two legs. how alex had managed to get herself into this situation, aralynn was clueless. but then again, alex had a tendency to be a bit clueless in the love department. unfortunately for aralynn, she hadn't realized how clueless. though she tried to teach alex what there was to know about dating and boys, obviously she had missed the part about dating appropriate guys. well, no more. aralynn was decided she was going to find a guy for her sister, and a pureblood was where it was going to be. she had spent a night raking her brain for possible candidates, trying to figure out who would suit her sister. then, as if it were a sign, anthony mulciber walked past her in the common room. aralynn and anthony had known one another for quite a while, but had never really been friends. their parents were in the same social circles and they had met at events and gatherings before, but had never bonded all that much. he was a year younger than aralynn, which meant a year older than alexandria. he was attractive, intelligent, pureblood and a slytherin. he definitely appeared aralynn certified on the outside. now all she had to do was get the idea of dating alexandria into his head.
she had tried to be sly at first with putting the idea into his head. but soon enough either he wasn't taking the hints, or she wasn't being blunt enough. so she outright told him he needed to ask out her sister. there was no if, ands, or buts. but he still hadn't, and aralynn was fairly sure that he was trying to avoid her now, as she was getting frustrated with him brushing the subject off. alexandria was the perfect candidate for someone like anthony. how could he not see that?
tonight was the last straw. she was going to find him and hex him until he asked alexandria out. okay, she probably wouldn't go that far, but she wasn't above dragging him to his sister and asking her for him herself. aralynn was getting testy and she didn't like getting frustrated. anthony mulciber was getting under her skin, and she was going to find him, wherever he may be. she had come from the great hall, changing into a pair of jeans and tank, and began her search. she had apparently missed him in the great hall, but that was fine. she had all night. she had browsed the common room, not seeing him there, but questioning whether or not he had seen her and taken off. she asked a couple people in the common room if they had seen him, and finally one tipped her off. so he had been in the common room, but had left, and with broom in hand. that meant he was heading to one place, the quiddich pitch.
not wanting to fly whatsoever, she didn't even think about getting her broom. anthony was going to come down and talk to her, whether he liked it or not. aralynn headed out to the quiddich pitch, not considering the weather or anything else. she had her wand and that was all she needed. when she walked outside, she could see a figure in the sky flying around the quiddich pitch. she also felt the drops of rain that slowly began to fall on her. normally she would be irritated by this and give up her quest, but this was it for anthony. either he was going to come with her and talk to her sister, or she was going to move on to someone else. but if she was going to move on to someone else, she wanted a reason from anthony as to why he didn't want to even attempt to go out with her sister. alexandria was incredibly pretty, and smart. she was blonde, had bright blue eyes. almost the opposite of aralynn appearance wise, but they were both very attractive.
as she got closer to where anthony was, the rain started coming down even harder. "anthony mulciber, get down here now and talk to me. i'm not going to stand in this pouring rain forever. if you don't get down here, i'll hex you down from that broom," she yelled up to the sky. he wasn't too high that her voice wouldn't be heard, so he better listen to her. she felt the rain cascade down her face and her body. she couldn't believe she was standing out here in the rain for him. she wouldn't be doing this for anyone else. so why exactly was she?

Anthony gripped the handle of his broom tightly, letting the rain fall on him. It was a welcomed relief being on the Quidditch pitch. Flying gave him a chance to clear his head. It was sort of like a mental treatment for him. Then again, he really wasn’t considered to be mental due to his upbringing and what happened last year as well. A shout reached his ears and he scowled, unfortunaly recognizing the voice. Damn her, he thought as he flew over to the fellow Slytherin. He was a few inches away from her. “What do you want now Aralynn?” He demanded, completely annoyed. He had been avoiding her with a reason. The sixth year snorted at her words. “I’ve seen you hexing someone Nott. You wouldn’t want to do that to me. After all I’m just a puppet to you right?” His black eyes were flashing with anger. The last words didn’t mean to come out of his mouth. They just slipped out. “I am NOT going to be sitting here listening to why I should date your sister. If she wants to date someone let her. It’s her life, she should do as she pleases.” Really, Anthony didn’t know what was going through his mind when he was telling her that. There was bitterness to his tone. “She would hate you if you continue to do this you know. Never the fact that I just like her as a friend and probably would never see her in another way other than that.”
The rain started to come down harder. He just stared at her as he ran a hand through his hair, shaking his head at her. She really was naïve. Not to mention a complete idiot as well, but he wouldn’t tell her that. He would die before he would. “So if that’s what you came down to talk me into it then forget it,” He jumped a few inches onto the ground, holding his broom. “So let’s talk about something else hm?” Anthony was really not in the mood to be forced to see reason. He wouldn’t deny the fact that Alexandria was attractive. He looked to her like a brother would a sister. Besides, he did have someone in the back of his mind that he would like to ask out but he figured she would say no. People would be shocked to hear that he was crushing, slightly, on the girl that was standing in front of him. Anthony had to put on airs and ignored her as best as he could. He looked up at her up and down in the pouring rain. “You really shouldn’t be standing out here in this type of weather Aralynn. It’s not suiting for you and your frame.” He took a moment to realize what he had said and mentally swore at himself. She was probably either going to knock him up the head or kill him in sight. His eyes held nothing to what he was thinking, which was good for him. Aralynn did not need to know the kind of thoughts that were running through his mind right now.
He would be ashamed if he admitted to the fact that he knew her a little bit. His father would always go to the latest social gatherings and forced him to socialize with the pureblood children. Anthony had pretty much found the whole thing to be boring as hell. There was nothing to do except to lean against the wall and talk about whatever came to their minds. They had met a few times during such events but never really talked much. If his mother had been alive she would be the one he would go to for advice on how to deal with girls. His father never really cared that much for him. Anthony had to lean on the advice from his friends. And trust me, he had ranted to them a whole lot than he would to his father. There were a few subjects that were on the ‘forbidden to talk’ list when he was alone with the man. He bit down on the inside of his cheeks as he continued to look at her, taking in her body. He didn’t feel his cheeks turning pink. On the subject of girls Anthony was a complete failure. He failed to tune in to their feelings. He probably figured that was because he had been surrounded by men ever since his mother died. Anthony had wondered what would have happened if his mother had not passed away. He never knew what had exactly killed her but he had a sneaking suspicion that it was his father. Of course he would do well not to say anything.
A slightly awkward silence spread between the two Slytherins. Anthony had finally taken his gaze off from her and looked around. The rain had stopped for a few minutes but that was nothing. He knew that it would soon start pouring again. “You’re wet,” Was the first words that had come out of his mouth. He mentally rolled his eyes at himself. Oh nice going there, he told himself sternly. Couldn’t you say anything that doesn’t sound so dumb and idiotic? Tagged. Aralynn <333 Words. 872 Notes. I do apologize for the lateness. These two are already cute! aralynn's voice drifted up and into the sky and reached the ears of anthony. she could tell by the way his back flinched and he rerouted his course to come back down to the ground. his skills on a broom were good, and she had seen him many times move swiftly on his broom on the quiddich pitch. he hovered inches away from her and though she had been in such close proximity before, the intention he carried and the intensity in his eyes as he stopped to look at aralynn and speak to her made her stop her anxious rambling and listen. she had been so pent up the sudden swish of wind and explosion of emotion from him took her off guard.
"what do you want now aralynn? i’ve seen you hexing someone nott. you wouldn’t want to do that to me. after all i’m just a puppet to you right?" the words caught aralynn off guard. the words he spoke somehow hit her harder than she had expected. the word 'puppet' rang through her head. that wasn't what she was trying to do with him. but the word and the way he said it sounded so insulting. that wasn't what she was trying to do. all she was trying to do was set him up with her sister. that was top notch. she wouldn't settle for anyone but the best for her sister. but as she thought about how she would explain it to theo, words seem to slip past her. "i didn't mean... i mean...you're not a puppet anthony. is that what you think i believe?" she took a step closer to anthony, bridging the gap between them slightly. "the only reason i even thought about you for alexandria was because you were the best their was. you're everything a girl could want." but anthony didn't want to hear about her sister anymore, and aralynn almost couldn't blame him. she had been awfully pushy. and what would alexandria think if she knew just how much she had been pushing anthony to her? she probably would be a little upset. but alex didn't know boys. aralynn did! and alexandria just didn't seem to be able to pick any good guys lately. anthony seemed to be one of those guys.
aralynn suddenly felt kind of silly, and slightly embarrassed by just how aggressive she had been. alexandria would probably tell her she was being outrageous, and anthony was obviously not interested in her. he was making that very clear. he only saw her as a friend. aralynn had to accept that. she nodded slightly, jaw tight, admitting defeat. she hated realizing when she was wrong. she hated not winning and not reaching the end to a goal once she had set one. but this she had to accept. anthony was telling her otherwise, and she only had one option, and that was to respect him. besides, him coming down at her with such intensity had affected her different than she had expected.
he continued speaking to her, telling her they should talk about something else. she was speechless, wondering what else they had to talk to. she was surprised he even wanted to continue to talk to her. he seemed frustrated and annoyed, so why would he want to continue to spend time in aralynn's presence? she looked up to the sky briefly, feeling the rain as it came down on her face and around her body. it was cooler than she expected, but the frenzy of everything had placed her body temperature higher, so the cool water was welcomed on her skin. but her clothing was beginning to cling to her skin and her hair would soon be in thick strands pleated around her face and down her back.
"you really shouldn’t be standing out here in this type of weather aralynn. it’s not suiting for you and your frame." the words fell out of his mouth and aralynn flickered her eyes to him. had he just complimented her? had he just looked her over with his eyes? had he just looked at her in the way she was hoping he would look at her sister? stunned, questions circling her head, aralynn couldn't do anything but let out a small laugh. she looked at anthony, seeing the rain trickle down his face and through his clothing. "well mulciber, you seem to be able to pull off the wet look just fine." she was getting somewhat of her self back after being slighted. just as they spoke, the rain seemed to slow down to nearly a stop. for the first time without the rain, the two of them looked at one another, and there was an awkward silence that lingered between the two of them. the rain had stopped and seems to reveal the other in a different light. at least, aralynn suddenly felt very conscious in front of anthony. nothing like she had ever before.
finally, "you're wet" escaped anthony's lips. aralynn nodded slightly. "you are too." feeling suddenly curious and bold, aralynn spoke up to anthony. "if you're not interested in my sister," she let the words linger on her lips. she took a step towards him wondering if she was reading his signals properly, or if she was making it all up in her head. either way, she was curious. anthony had always been in the background of her life. family functions, social gatherings. she had never noticed him looking at her before, but had she overlooked it? "who are you interested in?"

The sixth year Slytherin leaned up on his broom carefully. He said nothing for a while, simply quiet as he continued to looked at Aralynn up and down. He climbed off his broom and gripped it tightly with his left hand. His eyes were still blazing with slight anger. Most of it had been ripped away from his, albeit short time in the air. Anthony took a deep breath. “Really Aralynn, you don’t want to know what goes through my mind when I see you heading, or rather stalking, my way. You would rather be happy with your sister instead of trying to control her life. Or love life if we’re being so specific.” Anthony was lucky that it was dark outside. It hid his slight blush. “Of course I’m the last person to give you advice on how to deal with siblings. Kind of grateful I’m the only child but my mother died when I was three-” He stopped dead in his tracks before scowling again. “Forget what I said.” He had trouble hiding a small snort at the mention that he was everything a girl could hope for. He couldn’t believe that she was really saying that to him. Only if she knew….Anthony thought with a slight shake of his head. He had never really been in a relationship before. He did had a lot of one night stands but that was basically it. He had to keep his guard up.
Anthony wouldn’t admit it to her at any point but he was slightly crushing on her. He could only imagine the look on her face. She would probably be the type to laugh at me, he thought to himself. “Really, Alex and I are just friends. There will probably be nothing more than that.” The black haired boy bit down on the inside of his cheeks lost in thought as he eyed her. Silence settled for a few minutes between them. Anthony was battling with his thoughts. A part of him wanted to just tell her that he was in love with her. The other part of him wanted to keep it to himself. Oh Anthony, why are you so complicated? A small voice in the back of his mind drawled. He couldn’t help but to smirk widely at the nod. “Then don’t bring it up again Aralynn. Or I will hex you and you know I can. Either that or I can lock you in the broom shed until morning.” He grinned mischievously. His eyes glittered with something that neither one of them could place. “And I don’t think that you would want that at all do you? Not unless I’m in that shed.” The sixteen year old chuckled to himself as he imagined the look on Aralynn’s face if he had done that.
He smirked as he pushed back his hair, getting some of the rain drops on his eyes. He blinked them away and continued to smirk at her. “Well thank you for the compliment Miss Nott. I’ll remember that the next time it rains.” Anthony blinked a couple of times before his smirk widen. Well, this wasn’t so bad really. It was kind of nice for a change, being able to talk to Aralynn without having a yelling argument. His eyes seemed to twinkle. “But not as wet as you I’m sure.” And then, without even stopping to think about it, Anthony moved forward and reached out with his free hand. He smoothed a few strands of her hair, somehow suddenly unable to stop himself from looking straight at her eyes. “Your eyes are lovely.” He told her softly. It was at her question that he paused, wondering if he should tell her or not. The Slytherin shook his head at himself before answering, “It should have been obvious shouldn’t it? I’m interested in you.” Anthony decided to keep quiet as he reached out and casually started to play with her hair. He just stared into his eyes, his heart hammering. “I was afraid to tell you at first because I know how you are. I was never interested in Alexandria. I was always watching you. You know those rumors that are running around.”
It was here that he stopped for a few minutes before continuing. “I have never been in a relationship before. A bunch of one night stands really.” He frowned as he kept on twirling the strands in between his fingers. He was surprised at the fact that he was able to sprout out the details of his life so easily with her. The details that he managed to keep quiet. Hidden away from everyone. “So there. Now that you know everything there is to know about me….I’ll turn that question around. Are you interested in me?” He was a few inches away from her face. As if acting on an impulse he bend down and lightly kissed her cheek. Anthony pulled away, a look of uncertainty showed in his eyes as he waited for her to speak. Tagged. L O V E ; I T W I L L N O T B E T R A Y Y O U D I S M A Y O R E N S L A V E Y O U * ------ it will set you free
there was so much aralynn was not accustom to dealing with that she was now faced with. first off, she hated when people did not do as she wished. in this class anthony had not done as she said and asked her sister out. she also wasn't accustomed to feeling speechless, which anthony had done oh so cleverly without aralynn really realizing the extent in which she was trying to control not only his life, but the life of her sister. and aralynn was not accustom to letting someone yell at her, or make threats against her that she did not in turn retaliate. but yet, here she was, listening to anthony go on about how unhappy he had been when she was on a tear for him to go after her sister, and listening to him threaten her with hexes, or locking her in a broom closet. she took a deep breath, wondering where she wanted to take off from his end of the conversation, but simply keeping her mouth shut. now was not the time to get anthony right back on her bad side, now was it? so she bit the side of her cheek, not allowing the threats from her to escape if he were to ever lock her in a broom closet, and allowed her eyes to show him she was not impressed by the thought. he followed up the threat lightly with a joking tone, and aralynn couldn't help but feel attracted to the young man asserting dominance over her. no one talked to aralynn like this. well, that was, unless you knew her and were one of her closest friends. but anthony was someone she had just started to get to know, but she was allowing him to talk to her as if he had a sort of control over her.
as they moved out of the rain, and their conversation took a gentler, lighter tone, aralynn couldn't help but look into anthony's light coloured eyes. there was so much behind them she had no idea about. their eye contact intensified and as aralynn joked with anthony, almost without realizing where it came from, his hand came to her face, brushing a piece of her hair out of her face and behind her ear. she stared at the slytherin, for a moment confused as to the gentle and caring gesture. had she ever been treated with such tenderness? his voice broke her thoughts, speaking about her eyes. her dark eyes that contrasted with the colour in his. "thank you," she stated, her eyes continuing to look at him and study his features. there was hesitation on his end, but subconsciously she urged him forward with her eyes. he shook his head and turned his gaze away from her, but continued to play with her long, brown strands.
"it should have been obvious shouldn't it? I'm interested in you."
the words stumbled out of his lips and hit aralynn like a wall of bricks. her heart skipped a beat as she had no previous understanding or even remote inclination of his affection for her before this night. if she hadn't been chasing him out here into the rain, she might never have known of his feelings towards her. aralynn stared at him, as he continued talking, rambling on almost. "i was afraid to tell you at first because i know how you are. i was never interested in alexandria. i was always watching you. you know those rumors that are running around." in fact, no, she didn't know the rumors that were going around. oh, she could be so stupid sometimes! she was so wrapped up in trying to get alexandria a date, she had completely overlooked that the guy she was trying to set her sister up with was in fact, interested in her! his words repeated in her head. she almost felt dizzy. sure, she had had many guys confess their attraction for her, but generally she saw it coming. she liked being in control and she had no idea how she felt about anthony. he was everything she said he was. smart, slytherin, pureblood, handsome. but the way he looked at her seemed differently. like he really cared. no one had looked at aralynn like that before. sure, they looked at her with lust filled eyes. even the short term boyfriends she had seemed to have a different sort of look in their eyes. how long had this infatuation with her been going on? how could she have not have seen that the sixth year slytherin was interested in her?
there were so many ways aralynn could have used this confession. but for once, she had no real desire to. if anything, shew as simply confused and trying hard not to show it. she just started into his eyes, feeling as if possibly, she could trust the young man. but she barely knew him. he continued speaking, interrupting aralynn's thoughts as they raced in her head. i have never been in a relationship before. a bunch of one night stands really... so there. now that you know everything there is to know about me….i'll turn that question around. are you interested in me?" the question shouldn't have caught her off guard, but then again, this whole situation had caught her off guard and she didn't know whether or not to seek comfort in it, or run away from it. they really weren't very different. she had never really been in a serious relationship before, and neither had he. one night stands, flings, friends with benefits - that's how aralynn worked. she had never really considered a relationship before. and now he was discussing it with her.
anthony leaned over and kissed her cheek. the action was so warm, and aralynn's eyes met his as they parted. was she interested in him? she felt like she barely knew him. but there was something about him that made her want to know him. like she could trust him. as if, even though he was younger, he could and would take care of her. he had been watching her, observing and longing for her from a distance. and in that moment aralynn didn't have words for anthony. without second guessing herself, she leaned into the boy and pressed her lips against his, wrapping her arms around his shoulders, as their damp bodies met briefly. her lips against his felt warm and soft. his body felt strong underneath her embrace. she kissed him for a moment longer than pulled away, stepping back. she was silent for another moment before his words and her thoughts raced back into her mind. relationship... know how i am... one night stands... her hands came to her face subconsciously and she shook her head slightly. this wasn't her. she couldn't do this. she couldn't do a real relationship. she didn't deserve love. she didn't deserve anthony or the way he looked at her. moving her hands away from her face, her voice finally cracked through her lips. "i can't do this anthony. i'm so sorry, but i don't know what i'm doing. i've never done this before, and i don't know if i can. you don't deserve this. you deserve better. better than me." and with that, her insecurities beginning to pour out, along with the pain in her chest that started pounding as she spoke those words to anthony, she turned and began to run, back to the school, to her room, where she could actually let her emotions pour out. all aralynn wanted was someone to love her and love them in return, and now she was getting the chance, and she was running away from it. how simply tragic.
