james ignotus potter
full name: james ignotus potter
age: sixteen
birthday: march 27
blood line: pure
occupation: student
house: gryffindorhoping for the best hoping nothing happensthousand clever lines undread on clever napkins
confident – this is something that james potter isn’t short of. always willing to start a conversation or shout out a witty remark in the middle of class there isn’t a lot that phases the boy. he’ll flirt with anyone, however out of his league they may be and he’s not fazed by getting knocked down.
arrogant – so he’s a little cock-sure, okay, a lot cock-sure. most people tend to think his head is rather over inflated. he’s good at quidditch, transfiguration and duelling and he will make sure that you know he is.
short-tempered – james is pretty easy to wind up at times and when he snaps, he properly snaps and you’ll find yourself on the back end of a curse or, if you’re really unfortunate, you’ll be the subject of the next marauder prank.
competitive – james will make anything he can into a competition and he has to win. if he doesn’t he tends to sulk and throw his toys out of the pram. if he wins, well he’ll brag about it and rub it in the loser’s face.
mischievous – this Gryffindor spends more time in detention that out. his pranks are the talk of the school and you’re not anybody (in james’ humble opinion) if you’ve not been on the end of a marauder’s prank
lovestruck – yes, there’s only one girl for james potter and she still wants nothing to do with him
hidden – in front of his friends and peers, james comes across as carefree and casual but every time lily knocks him down he breaks a little more inside. he’s dying to show her his soft and sensitive side but he’s afraid of what it’ll do to his reputation.i used to waste my time dreaming of beingalive now i only waste it dreaming of you

rp sample: It was the answer he had expected. Of course it was. He was stupid to have thought anything else. But now he had a decision to make. He couldn’t help but sigh audibly at Ginny’s words. His disappointment was obvious. Michael did it all of the time, told girls he wasn’t interested in anything serious, that he didn’t even want to date them but they could just have fun. Often when he said that he didn’t get a very pleasant reaction and now he understood why. It wasn’t a very nice feeling at all to be discarded. Something that felt like a lead weight had just dropped into his stomach; a strange feeling had washed over him, a mixture of disappointment of humiliation and it took him a moment or two to realise that the feeling was rejection.
But, he argued with himself, he wasn’t really being rejected. She still wanted to hang out with him, still wanted to have fun. He had to believe that in order to save his ego. It was true though, she had spoken the words aloud. The choice Michael had to make was between having fun with Ginny until Potter finally decided he was ready to take their relationship to the next level or to not be with Ginny at all. On any other day and with any other person the choice would be obvious. Most guys would give anything to have a fun, open type relationship with a girl, especially a girl like Ginny. And Michael was most guys, but Ginny wasn’t most girls. He sucked in his bottom lip in thought, trying to decide whilst Ginny was sitting, stunning, opposite him was difficult. Even more so when she complimented him. He smiled, unable to open his mouth and tell her the same.
He pushed his finished ice-cream bowl to one side and folded his arms on the table. ”Ginny,” He spoke finally but was unable to continue, he wasn’t even sure what he was going to say, he wasn’t sure what he wanted to say. He could quite easily sit there and fight his case, prove to her that she should pick him instead of Potter. But why would she when Harry bloody hero Potter had already expressed his feelings. There was no way he could compete with him and if he tried, he’d be condemned by the entire wizarding world for kicking their hero in the head, (which right now was what Michael wanted to do more than anything else).
”I don’t know.” He said finally which was more of a copout than an answer. He felt he should expand further but again, found himself lost for words. He wasn’t used to this at all, Michael usually had more than enough to say. People often had to tell him to shut the hell up because he liked to talk so much and generally about himself. ”I think maybe I need to think about it a little more.” He sighed, delaying when he knew what his answer should be wasn’t a good idea but it was typical Michael; trying to stall the inevitable because he didn’t like it. He opened his mouth and closed it a few times before finally coming out in a rush with, ”I’ll owl you soon, I promise. We should meet up again. I like you Ginny, both as a friend and . . . more. Remember that.” He stood up and left more than enough money on the table. He walked slowly around the table, looking Ginny directly in the eyes he said, ”I’ll be seeing you.” He kissed the top of her head and walked off.
