 at 11am on the first of september 1997, the hogwarts express found it's way out of kings cross station, as it does every year. the students on there were a mix of excitement and worry, for this year, they knew would be different. the dark lord had risen, and dumbledore was dead. severus snape had taken over the position of headmaster at the school, and now people were getting scared, as dumbledore had been the only reason that hogwarts was safe from you know who. another thing was different this year. wizards are being tested to ensure the purity of their blood, and muggle born's and half bloods are being advised to go into hiding. three students in particular, harry potter, ron weasley, and hermione granger, were not aboard the train. they'd found themselves with another mission, destroying the seven parts of voldemort's soul, and ending the life and reign of the dark lord. they have allies within the wizarding world in the form of the order of the phoenix, but now that the ministry has fallen and the dark lord has his right hand man as the head of hogwarts, how much of a difference can the trio make?
