There’s some Ravenclaws in their tower that didn’t quite hear you.” Even in a loud, crowded common room, the sarcasm and vicious tone to Bellatrix’s voice still caught the attention of those around her. It was late evening, so the majority of Slytherin house was packed into the same room. And it just happened that a large group of second year girls had choosen to sit next to Bella. Their gossiping and frequent giggling fits were almost unbearable, Bella had only latest a few minutes before she snapped at them.
She stood up abruptly and walked out of the common room, her heels echoing on the stone floor, adding to the effect of her exit. It was to be expected really. In a castle largely filled with hyperactive teenage witches and wizards, it would come as no surprise to learn that it was often difficult to find a bit of peace and quiet. During the day the corridors were filled with hundreds of students, laughing and chatting with each other. At night, it was only slightly better. Prefects and teachers roamed the castle, searching for students out of bed. Around them were ghosts, suits of armour and the portraits, making the most of the lack of students. But there were a few spots in the castle where silence could be found. And more often than not, Bellatrix Black could be found in one of them.
And it was to one of these locations she was currently heading. The empty, abandoned classroom on the second floor was the closest location she could think of. The room itself was dusty and in a general state of disrepair. Tables and chairs had been stacked at one side of the room. Bella sat down on the floor, her back against the wall and stretched her legs out in front of her. The classroom was considerably colder than the rest of the corridor, but Bellatrix was a Slytherin through and through, and living in the dungeons for seven years had toughened her tolerance for low temperatures.
Closing her eyes, she tilted her head back until it was resting against the cool stone wall. She could hear footsteps in the corridor, but they didn’t interest or concern her. It was doubtful anybody would be looking for her. The students that would willingly choose to spend time with Bellatrix Black when she was in this sort of mood were few and far between.

• i live a lifestyle full of first impressions •i've got my hands full of unhealthy obsessions Why Rodolphus Lestrange had left the peace and quiet of the library he was not sure. He was trying to read a book he had just taken out on the dark arts. He had wasted no time in using his seventh year status to get into the restricted section and had spent from finishing his dinner until twenty minutes ago browsing. The librarian had given him a strange stare as she checked the book out from him. It had been a mixture of worry and horror. Rodolphus had given her a dangerous smile in return. He knew what she was thinking and he revelled in it. He dropped the heavy hardback onto the table but the loud thump it made could hardly be distinguished through the racket that his fellow Slytherins were making.
The Slytherin common room was packed with students from all years and none of them seemed likely to sit down and shut up anytime soon. Rod sat in the corner of the room using the stone wall to lean on rather than the back of his chair. His fingers rested on his temple, eyes closed, trying his hardest to fade away and blur out the shouts and laughter around him. He didn’t often spend much time in the common room except for in the dead of night. This, he realised, was why. He wondered whether he could get away with performing the cruciatus curse on one of those shrill sounding girls without getting into too much trouble. He smiled to himself at the thought. It was then that a voice he recognised carried across the room. Lazily he opened one eye and watched Bellatrix Black stand up and stalk across the room towards the exit. His mouth opened sucking in air as he watched her body move; Merlin she was hot.
He opened his other eye and drummed his fingers on the table, sucking in his bottom lip. He made his decision. Standing up he also left the room. He watched her round the corner at the end of the corridor before following her quietly and at a distance; leaving as much space as possible between them. His heart began to race like it did when he was chasing someone. This was slightly different because he could hardly call Bellatrix prey. She wasn’t some terrified, defenceless little first year and she wasn’t aware that she was being trailed. But it set off a similar reaction inside of him. The fact that he didn’t know where she was going excited him further. He watched her go into an abandoned classroom, waited a few minutes and then carried on down the corridor.
He pushed open the door and at first glance he thought the room was empty. He stood on the threshold, his eyes sweeping the place and finally landing on Bellatrix. ”Comfortable down there are you, Bellatrix?” Rodolphus asked with a smirk, leaning against the doorway and folding his arms across his chest. His eyes raked her body, lingering for longer on her legs. ”Mind if I join you?” He asked and not waiting for an answer he stepping inside, closing the door behind him with a snap that echoed through the dimly lit room.

And so she kept the same position, with her head against the wall and her eyes closed. Bella highly doubted the person entering the room could be of any threat to her, it wasn’t as if she needed to jump to her feet and defend herself. But then he spoke. She could have recognised that voice anywhere. She fought hard to keep any emotion off her face. It would not do her any favours to let a smile creep onto her face simply because of Rodolphus Lestrange’s voice. Not that Bellatrix Black ever smiled. But that was beside the point.
She turned her head to the side momentarily, away from the doorway. She bit her lip softly, giving herself a few seconds to compose herself. In truthfulness, she was glad for the lack of strong light in the room. Several sleepless nights were beginning to take their effect on her appearance. Yes, she was still dressed in her trademark tightfitting, entirely black ensemble, but a closer look saw the dark circles under her eyes becoming more noticeable. The cause of her sleepless nights had been several ‘gatherings’ of the older Slytherins. The type with a lot of Firewhisky. Not that she had attended any gatherings of the sort in the past few days. But having dorm mates coming in to bed in the middle of the night was keeping her awake. They had tried to persuade her to join them, but to no avail. And the primary reason was Rodolphus. It would take a lot of self-control to stop herself if she saw him with whatever girl he happened to be with. And Bella wasn’t entirely sure she had that level of self-control.
She turned her head to face him, taking in everything about his appearance. The smirk that played around his lips, his casual stance leaning against the doorway. She raised her eyebrows in response to his question, feeling a smirk of her own appear on her face as her eyes travelled up and down his body. Twice.
The sound of the door snapping shut caused a sharp intake of breath from Bella. It was a spontaneous reaction, one she had not anticipated. A sense of forbidding spread through her body at being shut in the same room as Rodolphus. It wasn’t as if it was a new feeling, but she felt the rush of adrenaline regardless. She bit her lip hesitantly, she was well aware her reaction was audible to everyone in the room. “It looks as if I have no choice in the matter.” She spoke coldly, “Not that it comes as a surprise. You don’t take no for an answer often do you Rodolphus?”

• i live a lifestyle full of first impressions •i've got my hands full of unhealthy obsessions Not once did Rodolphus take his eyes off of Bellatrix. He was watching her intently for some sort of reaction to his appearance. He was used to her; he knew that she didn’t often give the game away but every now and again she slipped up. She was only human after all. Just. He watched, intrigued as she looked away from him, not for long, maybe for a moment of composure, more likely to try and prove that she wasn’t interested. Rodolphus didn’t believe that for one second. He refused to. He wouldn’t ever give up on her. Countless times he had been with girls but that was just to exercise his frustrations. He was a teenage boy after all. Sometimes the girls were feisty, had a little bit of a fight or challenge to them. Often they were mind-numbingly boring and he would have to sit through hours of them talking before they reached the final act. But he was always drawn back to Bellatrix. No one else had ever captured him in the same way that she had.
He enjoyed chasing her, he had to admit. It would make it even more rewarding when he finally won her over completely. But he was becoming ever more frustrated with her ignorance towards him. These past few nights he had stayed up late in the Slytherin common room with their circle of friends and not once had she even dropped by to join them. He knew she enjoyed solitude as much as the next Slytherin, but he was convinced that it was his presence that she was isolating herself from. The reason why she was doing so, he couldn’t quite put his finger on it. He was willing to leave it alone for now, but if it continued for much longer then he would directly confront her about it. He had her alone now so maybe there was no use in bringing it up.
He raised an eyebrow curiously as he heard her sharp intake of breath. Interesting. Satisfied with the way her eyes raked his body, he licked his lips hungrily; the content smirk ever present on his face. He couldn’t help but let out a short, low chuckle. He had the distinct feeling that currently he had the upper hand. Rodolphus’ boots thudded loudly on the cold, stone floor as he walked to the desk opposite Bellatrix and sat upon it. He was tall enough that his feet rested upon the ground. He scratched the stubble on the side of his face. Rodolphus dressed a little less smartly than most of the Slytherins. He didn’t wear as much black. Although he favoured darker clothes; he had on dark denim jeans and a navy tank top underneath a grey jacket. He pushed up the sleeves of said jacket as he replied. ”No. I don’t.” His eyes flashed dangerously. Not as a warning to Bellatrix but because the idea of anyone telling him he couldn’t do something that he wanted to do, pissed him off. ”You’ve been spending a lot of time alone recently, Bella.” Rodolphus stated, deciding he was willing to test the boundaries between them. ”Is my company not good enough for you?” He pretended to pout.

And somehow, no matter how hard she tried; Rodolphus would win, without fail, every single round. They had this . . . relationship between them, if that’s what you wanted to call it, and it seemed that he had ended up with a much better deal. Bella was the one who night after night had to keep herself at a distance from her friends because he was there. And at the same time, he was enjoying his night, occupied with whatever girl had thrown herself at him on that particular occasion. From what she saw, it didn’t seem to bother Rodolphus one bit. And she hated him for it. But admittedly, the arrogance that radiated off him because of the amount of girls willing to throw themselves at him was undeniably attractive.
She kept her eyes focused elsewhere in the classroom as he walked over and sat on the desk. The temptation to glance back at him was putting up a fair fight, but after her slip up moments ago, she knew she couldn’t afford anymore weak moments. She had to be careful. Sitting on the desk put him physically higher than her, sending out a subtle message of dominance in the situation. It made her uncomfortable, to say the least. But she wouldn’t move, not for him. Even so, she moved her legs until they were against her chest, and wrapped her arms around them. The final image was one of a sulking child, too stubborn and arrogant to do something they didn’t want to do. And the image was intensified by the way she kept her eyes fixed on the opposite wall.
But even despite her promises to herself that she wouldn’t’ react to anything he said, Bellatrix’s eyes automatically looked up to meet his as he used the name ‘Bella’. It was the name her sister used for her, and only a few older Slytherins had picked up on it. To everyone else, she was simply Bellatrix. But coming from Rodolphus, it sounded almost . . . intimate. “Why Rodolphus, I didn’t know you cared so much,” she replied, with only a hint of sarcasm hiding between her words. The smirk was back, formed simply from the idea that he had noticed her lack of presence. “Don’t tell me you miss my company? Let me guess, you don’t find the company of others anywhere near as . . . satisfying, do you?” His question still hung unanswered in the air, but she had no intention of answering it properly. Instead, she shrugged her shoulders softly. Perhaps it would annoy him, perhaps not. Either way, she wanted the upper hand in this situation, and she was more than willing to put up a good fight for it.

• i live a lifestyle full of first impressions •i've got my hands full of unhealthy obsessions Rodolphus sat with his hands gripping the edge of the desk as he waited patiently for Bellatrix’s reply. Often conversations between Slytherins were like this. There was always an air of who was more dominant of whom, not showing any weaknesses and ultimately making sure you came out on top. There was too much pride at stake and so questions and answers were always deliberated over making the conversation rather slow. But that was how Rod liked it; that way it built up tension and it made things a little more challenging. He perceived everything that he did as a competition or a battle whether it be physically or mentally and regardless of whether the person he was competing against even realised they were part of his game. Bellatrix certainly knew what she was a part of.
Forcing himself not to let out another chuckle, he watched her draw her legs up. He was fascinated by her every move and often found himself asking himself why had she done that or said that. Her current position seemed to him slightly defensive, like she was trying to build a wall between them. Usually people did that out of fear because they were weak. But Bellatrix possessed neither of those qualities and so, he reasoned, that she was sulking. Rodolphus on the other hand was quite content. Well why wouldn’t he be? He had the girl he wanted all alone and in the same room as him. That usually meant only one outcome. He wasn’t convinced that that would necessarily happen but he could make huge strides forwards in their relationship, that he was confident about. And he showed it in his open body language and casual smirk.
He cocked his head to one side as she spoke and gave her a shrug of his broad shoulders. He deliberated over a reply. Make her want you and leave her hanging. That was his remit. He watched her eyes snap back to his face and he looked directly at her; something he knew only the bravest (and stupidest) of people did. ”I’m just worried for your health, Bellatrix.” Rodolphus spoke with air of someone who didn’t in fact care at all. ”Human interaction is a vital part of development.” He moved quickly, leaning forward and resting his elbows on his knees in order to close a little of the gap between them making the situation ever more intimate. ”And yes, your company can be very satisfying.” He said the final word with all the lasciviousness that he was implying. ”So what were you thinking of doing here? All alone.” He added with a raise of his eyebrow. He was well aware that she was avoiding his question and choosing to give a more diplomatic answer. He debated over whether to push her further but decided against it. For now.

The only physical reaction that Bellatrix had to Rodolphus’ words was the appearance of a slight smirk around her lips. The idea that he was genuinely concerned for her health was ridiculous. Slytherins were only concerned with others if it benefited them, that was the general rule. Pleasantries were not commonly heard in the house of the snake, asking someone how they were was considered a waste of time and words; after all, it wasn’t like anybody actually cared about the answer. But his simple statement had triggered other thoughts. It was becoming increasingly obvious that he didn’t care about her at all, judging by the way he moved on to other girls so easily. What was she to him? Something to pass the time?
Her annoyance only increased as Bella turned her attention back to herself. The way she was acting in the situation was ridiculous; it was quite obvious he couldn’t care less about him, why should she care so much about what he thought of her? Here she was, sitting like a sulking child while he was sat above her, quite obviously in control of the situation. Well, that was about to change. She stood up and moved across the classroom, her heels echoing on the stone floor. Her intention was to sit on the desk next to him, but she hesitated at the last moment, and sat two desks away from Rodolphus. Just to be safe. As she settled herself on the desk, she crossed on leg over the other and raised an eyebrow at him. The challenge in her expression was unspoken, but it was clearly present.
Bella bit her lip at his next question. In all honesty, she was here because she wanted some peace and quiet, it was often difficult for Bellatrix to hear herself think in the Slytherin common room these days, it was so crowded. But her answer seemed rather mundane and boring, not the sort of conversation she would want to have with Rodolphus Lestrange. And so she made the active decision to bend the truth a little. After all, if there was one thing that Slytherins could do well, it was lie. “I was waiting for someone,” she stated evenly, “I’m sure you can imagine my joy when it was you that walked through the door instead.” Her latter words were laced with sarcasm, but not to the extent a comment like that should have been. In truth, the idea of waiting for Rodolphus in an empty classroom was quite appealing.

• i live a lifestyle full of first impressions •i've got my hands full of unhealthy obsessions Obviously as most Slytherins were, Rodolphus was obsessed with being in control. There was something about having that power, the rush of it, knowing that the situation is in your hands, to bend as you wanted. There was no better feeling. Dominance over situations or over other humans, whatever it was, Rod would always have to prove that he was the one in control. This was why of course Slytherin house was so volatile because it contained so many people all after the same thing: control and the will to do anything to get it. And so he was quite enjoying his position on the desk, towering over Bellatrix. He was tall anyway; his height an added bonus when it came to intimidating students and professors alike.
He wasn’t surprised when Bellatrix stood up. He watched curiously, moving his head only slightly to allow his eyes to stay trained on her body. At one point she had been close enough to grab. His arm even made an involuntary jerk as if he was going to do just that. The temptation to pull her close was overwhelming, the feeling only intensified at the sound of her heels on the stone floor. It was the sound of someone successful, determined, and controlling and it drove him crazy with desire.
Rod bit his lip in an effort to control himself. He cleared his throat; an action that could never be done quietly but the noise echoed around the cold stone room. He wondered vaguely whether she even realised how much of an effect she had on him. Slowly and deliberately he pulled himself upright again doing his best to keep his face composed. Only a small smirk and the clouded look in his eyes betrayed his desire as he looked at her. He raised an eyebrow at her obvious stance. She was doing what she could to grasp back some dominance and although part of Rod was attracted by the fact that she was all too willing to stand up to him, it also irritated him greatly. Relinquishing or even sharing dominance was not something he enjoyed.
His emotions were all bubbling just beneath the surface now and it was all he could do to keep himself relatively composed. It didn’t last long however. At Bellatrix’s words that she was meeting someone, he reacted. He was both bothered that she was meeting someone and that she had been disappointed to see him, it affected him and it showed in his expression. He frowned, looking angry, he shifted in his seat. ”Waiting for a guy?” He asked briskly, his voice threatening because the idea of Bellatrix waiting here to meet some guy made him want to pull out his wand and blast the desk that was between them into smithereens.

you heard that i was trouble, BUT YOU COULDN'T RESIST J U S T T A K E A B I T E L E T M E S H A K E U P Y O U R W O R L D - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - As a child, if there was one thing above all others that had been drilled into Bellatrix’s head, it was control of emotion. From a young age, she had been taught how to control her facial expressions, keeping them blank and uninterested. After all, it would do no good for a young Pureblood lady to give anything away before it was beneficial to do so. Showing eagerness, annoyance, frustration or any other emotion before it was deemed appropriate by those around her was considered unacceptable in the Black household. But much to the disappointment of her mother, Bellatrix had never been particularly skilled at hiding her emotions. And of course, it had been made a lot more difficult when she started Hogwarts. The majority of her house seemed perfect at doing just that.
And normally, so did Rodolphus. He was more than capable of strutting around the school, displaying a completely different emotion on his face to the one he was actually feeling. With him, it was often hard to know exactly what he was thinking, or if he meant the words that were coming out of his mouth. It was the kind of dilemma that kept Bellatrix awake at night, unable to sleep. She found herself analyzing tiny, insignificant comments he had made to her during the day. It was foolish really, the extent to which she was affected by him on a daily basis. And to think she had promised herself she would never act this way over anybody.
But this situation seemed different. Bellatrix noticed the small details, most likely because she was so aware of his presence next to her. She saw the biting of the lip, the smirk creeping onto his face, and most satisfyingly, the look of anger on his face when she mentioned the reason as to why she was here. But Bellatrix would not allow herself for even a second to hope that the cause of his anger might be jealousy. That was just wishful thinking.
Which was her latest dilemma. Should she carry on with the lie, or back out now while she could? Well the second option was utterly unappealing; backing down was something she refused to do, no matter what the situation was. And so she was left with the notion of continuing. The idea was becoming more appealing. He was clearly annoyed at the idea; why not push him a little further? See how long it takes him to crack? “Yes.” She answered sharply, her voice echoing throughout the room. The smirk appeared on her face once more, she wasn’t quite finished yet. “What’s the matter Rodolphus? Don’t tell me you’re jealous?” And almost mimicking his actions from just moments ago, she leant forward, placing her weight on her arms either side of her.

• i live a lifestyle full of first impressions •i've got my hands full of unhealthy obsessions Neither of the two of them was willing to admit that they liked the other, because doing so, in Rod’s eyes at least would be a sign of weakness. And Bellatrix being the type of character that she was would forever hold it against him to prove continuously that she had won. Also, Rod quite enjoyed having his cake and eating it too. The occasional hook-up with Bellatrix was never off the table and he was able to sleep with anyone else he pleased. His position was almost perfect. The only amendment he’d make was that Bellatrix wasn’t allowed to sleep with anyone else but him.
Rod tensed, his muscles tightening, his jaw clenched. The idea that Bellatrix was interested in someone else seriously grated on him. His reactions were small however and although he would have quite easily stood up and yelled at her that yes, he was bloody jealous, that reaction would do him no favours. Not to mention it was quite beneath him. He wasn’t some bold, brash Gryffindor intent on causing a scene. He was Rodolphus Lestrange. He may have had a dysfunctional upbringing at times, but his family had taught him how important it was to keep calm and carry on. It was proving rather difficult though. Usually he was so good in these situations; at not letting it show that someone was getting beneath his skin even around Bellatrix. But apparently there was one weakness and essentially it was her.
Or at least her and this guy she was waiting for. He debated over asking her who it was but he doubted whether she would tell him, it would make it look like he cared and he couldn’t be sure if he wouldn’t just storm out to find the guy and rip his balls off. He settled on narrowing his eyes. She was mocking him now by imitating his movements. If it had been anyone else sitting there he would have snapped by now. No one made a fool of him and got away with it. But it was Bellatrix, he liked her, respected her even. She was causing him a bit of a dilemma. Did he call her up on the fact that it was rather un-lady like and really quite seedy to be meeting up with guys in abandoned classrooms and risk that ever happening between the two of them. Or did he play her at her own game? Whilst all of this had been going off in his brain he had successfully managed to arrange his face into one of indifference.
He cast his gaze around the room, looking rather bored as if he were over this conversation already. She was going to milk this for all it was worth if he didn't change things quickly. ”Not even slightly.” He said, flicking some flecks of dust from his trousers. ”I’m just wondering,” He stated casually bringing his gaze back to her, ”What this guy is going to do when he arrives to find you under me instead.” He too leaned forward into the same position, raising his eyebrows questioningly.

Those three words seemed to echo around the room indefinitely. It wasn’t as though Bellatrix had been expecting him to answer differently. Slytherins did not show weakness, and admitting such emotions was definitely considered to be weak. Not for a second did she ever expect him to answer differently, but she certainly didn’t expect the rush of emotion that flooded through her body when he did answer. Anger and jealousy played a part but the most prominent emotion was disappointment. Disappointment that even she could not provoke the right kind of reaction from him. Did this make her the same as the rest of the girls he so casually slept with? The simple thought had an overwhelmingly negative effect on her, it was as much as she could do to keep her face straight and shrug her shoulders as if his answer didn’t bother her in the slightest.
But it did. If the question had been reversed, the answer would have been very different indeed. She was exceedingly jealous of the girls Rodolphus associated himself with. The fact of the matter was, he didn’t need to lie about the amount of girls he had at his disposal. She tried to distance herself from that part of his life as much as possible, but from what she heard, if he wanted a certain girl, he could have her. Bellatrix however, didn’t have that advantage. While she may have the choice from time to time, she always choose not to. The thought of another guy when Rodolphus was still around was utterly unappealing.
She almost smiled at his next comment, but managed to change it into a smirk at the last minute. The arrogance was radiating off him, and if there was one trait that Bella craved more than anything else, it was arrogance. Slytherin house was full of idiots with swollen egos always shouting about their superior skills, but the elder Slytherins seemed to mould it into something else, into a trait that was undeniably attractive.
“You say that like you’re certain of the outcome of this meeting,” she started. Her voice was cool and calm, or at least she tried to keep it that way, minor slip ups were almost expected in this situation by now. “What sort of girl do you take me for?” Her original intention was to sound insulted, but she wasn’t too sure if it came out that way. Either way, she leaned forward a few more inches and tilted her head slightly to the side, waiting for a response.

• i live a lifestyle full of first impressions •i've got my hands full of unhealthy obsessions Every single movement that he made was deliberate and thought out. He was usually like that anyway but he was always hyper aware when around Bellatrix because he felt like he had to live up to expectations even more. It was an odd combination because he wanted to please her but at the same time did not want to give her the satisfaction of knowing she was in control. He wondered how a relationship between them would ever work. Wouldn’t they be constantly battling each other for dominance? Surely, as the man, Rodolphus would have to come out on top? He doubted Bellatrix would let him win so easily. Not that it mattered; they weren’t in a relationship anyway. Rod didn’t do relationships and if he did turn to conventionality well, he was certain his relationship would be far from conventional whoever it was with.
Damn Rod had wanted more of a response than that! An indifferent shrug of the shoulders, seriously? He was wondering if he had any effect on her at all these days. Was she really beginning to move away from him? Of all the girls he had been with, he could always rely on Bellatrix to still be around. If it was only on the outskirts, she was still there. Even after years of this, years of not letting the other see too much, they always came back to each other, never got bored. Rod was certain that the chemistry he felt, that she could feel it too. But was it possible that she was actually bored of the games? Bored of him? The idea should have been nonsensical but after their meeting so far, doubts were beginning to creep in. It created a resolve within him. Things needed to be put right. He needed to show her that moving away from him would be a very unwise decision.
Rod smirked arrogantly at her words and gave her that look. The one full of heady desire. It was a risk but then playing safe around Bellatrix, at least for Rod, had never gotten him anywhere. She liked his boldness there was no doubt about that. And he liked her cold, calm exterior. Rod thought that her latter words were probably meant to illustrate that she was offended but coupled with her leaning in further still, it had the opposite effect. And yet she still didn’t give anything away. Sure the proximity between them had been more than halved. But that didn’t mean anything really; Rod wanted a specific, explicit sign as to what she was thinking. He wouldn’t get one, he knew that. He’d spent the last few years jumping into the deep end around her and hoping that things came off well for him. Well, it was time to jump. ”Are you saying you don't want me?” He said his voice considerably huskier now. He closed the gap between them, it meant he had to get down from the desk but that didn’t matter. His eyes darted to her lips and then captured them with his own.

you heard that i was trouble , BUT YOU COULDN'T RESIST J U S T T A K E A B I T E L E T M E S H A K E U P Y O U R W O R L D - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Every time the two Slytherins came into contact, Bellatrix couldn’t help but wonder how the situation would play out. Admittedly, it meant her concentration wasn’t fully on the present, but her mind was working in fast forward, wondering if she’d end up in his bed again, or wherever else they might find themselves. A small part of her worried if she was giving off the wrong impression. Surely Rod thought that if he wanted her, he could have her? It was hardly the ideal image of a young Pureblood woman, as her Mother would say. In fact, if Druella Black could see her now she’d have a fit. The two of them alone in a deserted classroom unsupervised? It was hardly considered ‘proper’ behaviour. But a larger part of Bellatrix worried about her lack of ability to say no to Rodolphus. Anybody else, the task was simple, but not once had she ever pushed Rod away. And in all honesty, she didn’t ever intend to.
But there it was again. The smirk, and more importantly, that look. The one that told her exactly what was coming. And so Rod moving off the desk to close the distance between them didn’t surprise her in the slightest. This was how she preferred it. He would be the one to make the bold decision to go for it; he would make the first move. That was, after all, how it had always been. For years she had been terrified of rejection, never would she express interest first. And she was certain Rod knew that by knew. Of course, it did mean she had to relinquish some control in the situation, but that was just an unfortunate consequence.
As his eyes focused on her lips, she knew it was decision time. Did she pull away, or go along with it? The former was never a possibility; the answer was always going to be the latter option. Her body remained stiff only for a fraction of a second after his lips met her own. Without conscious thought, her body relaxed into his as she responded to the kiss. She wasn’t playing particularly nicely; the kiss was forceful and heated. After a few seconds, she pulled back a few inches, biting her lip softly. This was the part she hated, the part where it became quite obvious she wanted him, despite having denied it from the start. It was an uncomfortable feeling, having her intentions so clearly laid out on the table. “Would you believe me if I said I didn’t?” she asked softly, her eyes meeting his. The question was more of rhetorical one, she wasn’t expecting an answer immediately, and so she once again moved her lips to meet his.

Post by RODOLPHUS JUDE LESTRANGE on May 5, 2012 19:31:14 GMT
• i live a lifestyle full of first impressions •i've got my hands full of unhealthy obsessions There was a moment, one heart-stopping fraction of a second when Rod seriously thought she was going to pushing him away or pull out her wand and curse him or slap him even. His shoulder’s even tensed, waiting for the blow of her choice to fall. But it didn’t come and thankfully she started kissing him back. He smirked into the kiss, his mind and body buzzing with excitement and anticipation. He had her now, he was almost sure of it. Oh how glad he was that he had decided to follow her exit from the common room. And if there was some other guy due to arrive; well he was all out of luck because Rodolphus had stolen it all. What idiot thought they could have Bellatrix Black when Rodolphus Lestrange was around anyway? The kind of idiot who had a death wish that was who. As far as Rod was concerned she was his. His thoughts chuckled at what she would say or do to him if she knew that was how he felt. He was pretty damn sure she wouldn’t agree to being owned by him.
The sudden change in the tone of her voice made Rod pause momentarily coupled with her biting his lip - she was driving him insane. Merlin he wanted to bite that lip. It took all of his self restraint to not grab a hold of her and completely lose control. Not that she would have complained about that really, he was quite confident of that. He’d never been rejected by her from this position. And no, he wasn’t too keen on answering her question, not when he could still feel her lips upon his, still taste her on his tongue. He wanted more and he was quite happy to oblige when she leaned in again. This time weaving his hand into her hair, the other grabbing at her waist and pulling her forcefully off of the desk so that he could meld his body against hers.
He pulled away, breathless. ”No I wouldn’t believe you.” He told her, his voice nothing more than a husky whisper. Kissing Bellatrix was so different, so much more heated, so much more passion, a constant battle for dominance. Just better in every sense. As he stood there, looking down at her he wondered why he ever went back to anybody else when no other woman in the world made him feel as crazily filled with desire as she did. Maybe he’d miss the games. The long hours they’d spend trading remarks wondering if anything would even come of it. Maybe it was his commitment issues which he’d already brooded over. Or maybe there was no real reason and he was just making excuses. Don’t worry about that now, Rodolphus. He scolded himself internally. Just get down to business. And that was what he did.
