PERSONALITY
confident and loyal
-aralynn is very self assured, and though she has some not so attractive qualities (depending on who you're talking to), she also has some amazing ones, if you're on her good side. as a friend or family member, aralynn is incredibly loyal. if you are true to her, and a true friend, she will defend you until the end. she will even ruin someone's life for you, or simply if they are talking bad about you. she hates backstabbers and loves plotting revenge against someone who has done her wrong. she is completely loyal, until you screw her over. then it's goodbye social life and reputation, hello new city. she holds no regrets and isn't afraid to sabotage someone. in fact, she finds it like a sport and fun. get on her good side and you will have an amazing relationship, but get in her bad books, and that will be the end of you.
intelligent and determined
-surprisingly to most people, aralynn has quite the brain inside that head of hers. especially when it comes to potions. she is amazing at potions and has a real knack for it. but she is well versed and loves reading and learning about new and interesting things. she knows a lot about magical history. but she is also very thoughtful when plotting, and loves challenging herself in any way, shape or form. from academics to boys. because aralynn knows what potential she has, she has high hopes for herself, aspiring to work at the ministry of magic like her father, hopefully in the department of mysteries. she is incredibly determined and smart and will climb as high as she can to succeed. she loves power and is confident she will get it.
manipulative and persuasive
-aralynn has some great talents, especially when it comes to manipulation and persuasion. she is fast on her feet and very intelligent and clever. she knows how to form plans, and take on challenges and loves manipulating people to do as she wishes. she can manipulate anyone with a little basic background information, and has been known to persuade quite the amount of men with her physical charms. she knows that she has a rocking body and will use her sexuality when it comes to persuading someone of the male gender to do her work, or see things her way. she knows what she wants, and she knows how to get it. that's just one of the ways she fits perfectly into slytherin and slytherin royalty. her manipulative and persuasive skills work wonders in what she can and will achieve. and this is her final year here at hogwarts, and she's destined to rule the school as a slytherin princess.
a prima ballerina
-something one may not know about aralynn is that she has spent years dancing ballet. her mother tried to teach all her siblings and her ballroom dance when they were little, but that was not the right dance for aralynn. she fell in love with the ballerinas on the wall and quickly picked up the lessons she was being taught. she was top of her class, and as she grew up, her body and lean muscles reflected the ballet training. her attitude reflected the determination and trials of wanting to succeed, and she quickly learned how much she loved being up on the stage dancing. but her training and physique isn't the only thing about ballet she fell in love with. she fell in love with the feeling dancing gave her. she knows that when she's feeling upset she can always express herself through her dancing, and that is her best exercise for stress relief.

HISTORY
the early years
- on a chilly november evening, aralynn chantelle nott was born to proud new parents vincent and andrea nott. welcoming aralynn was also a long line of wealth and pureblood wizards that were happy to have another child among their midst. for the first year of aralynn's life, she was spoiled by her parents who loved her very much. her father worked at the ministry of magic, and her mother stayed home to care for the baby, but they loved her and lavished her with anything a child could want.
when aralynn was only a year old, her brother was born. aralynn couldn't have been more excited to have a younger sibling. she followed her brother around, making sure he was careful and watching over him. alright, some of the time she spent bossing him around, but what was he to expect from a big sister? then, when aralynn was two, her parents decided to have another child, and to aralynn's delight, it was a baby girl - her sister alexandra. alex was just what aralynn had wished for, and she spent even more time trying to be a big sister and help alex whenever she could. from an early age, aralynn knew how much her younger siblings meant to her, and also loved the time she spent with them and her mother.
as she grew into an child, traditions and personalities began to develop. she was a curious child and loved to learn. she would love the bedtime stories her father would come home and read to all three of the children nightly. she also loved talking and socializing, but she also liked asserting her place. she was the eldest sibling after all, and that put her in charge. so even from the beginning, aralynn had a sense of confidence and leadership some only dream of having (others are thankful they don't). she enjoyed the company of her siblings, and would spend many hours laying out with alex, watching the night sky. they would talk about everything and nothing, their childish minds spewing stories, dreams and fantasies about the future. it would become one of aralynn's favourite childhood memories.
aralynn also loved spending time with her mother. there was something so loving and caring about her mother that made aralynn want to be around her all the time. besides, her sister seemed to take most of the little time her father had, and her brother could be off on his own, or fit with each parent without a worry. perhaps it was because aralynn liked the things her mother liked. aralynn was more girly as she grew, while alex was more tomboyish. aralynn liked her hair and makeup, and spent hours staring at her mother as she would get ready for a social event. aralynn loved baking too, and that was something her mother and her did together.
when aralynn was eight years old, her mother took her to the dance studio for the first time. she was in amazement and awe at her mother's dancing skills. her mother was a ballroom dancer on the side of being a mom, and aralynn loved watching her dance and move. but when she saw the ballerinas in the pictures around the studio and saw them for only a moment dancing in a studio over from her mother, she knew that was what she wanted to do. so, exclaiming to her mother that was what she wanted to do, her mother signed her up for lessons. of course, that didn't stop her from eventually dragging all three of the nott children to ballroom dance lessons. ballroom dance was not the dance for aralynn, particularly when having to learn with your brother. but at least it was funny, watching all of her siblings and herself attempt to dance. aralynn was a ballerina and she had been since the moment she saw the ballerinas dancing, and has continued it since then.
hogwarts
-when aralynn turned eleven years old, her letter for hogwarts arrived. she was ecstatic, as were her family. she was so excited to go to hogwarts, and excited that she was going to be the first one to go through it. she was independent enough, even then, not to be afraid, but to embrace hogwarts for all that it was. a part of her was nervous about the sorting hat, but when she arrived that first night of hogwarts and felt the hat on her head, she knew she didn't have to worry. as the hat processed all that she had for a moment, it yelled out "slytherin" and aralynn has never looked back since.
she quickly began to learn the ropes at hogwarts, and quickly became a leader among her peers. she had a love of learning and a quick wit that made her an asset in a debate. because she enjoyed learning and gaining knowledge, almost all her classes came fairly easy, and she wasn't afraid to work for her grades. she knew when she had to study and she knew when she could party. in first year she developed quite the knack for potions, always exceeding with that class. she also began to exceed when it came to boys. she had always been lean and toned, but as she developed, other parts developed and she easily learned how to manipulate the boys in her year to do things for her and use them to her advantage.
when she was fifteen she lost her virginity, and ever since then as used sex and persuasion as just one of the many things to get what she wants. she's had one night stands, and short-term boyfriends, but nothing serious. though, she wouldn't mind someone who cared about her more though, but she wouldn't let anyone know that.
her brother followed her lead into slytherin, and her sister went to ravenclaw. a part of her didn't understand that, nor did she really like that. a thirteen year old aralynn was mad at her sister for not trying harder to be with her. but aralynn was pretty sure she felt that way because of the relationship that was developing between her siblings. aralynn and alex used to be super close when they were little, but as they grew up and especially after aralynn went to school, her brother and sister seemed to get closer, leaving aralynn out. even when her sister was in ravenclaw and her brother in slytherin with her, she felt like an outsider at times. she would never admit it, but she was jealous of their relationship, and was just thankful for how close she still was with her mother.
as aralynn reached her sixth, and now her seventh year at hogwarts, she knows she's on top. she's one of slytherin's queen bees and is willing to manipulate and climb her way to the top. that includes crushing anyone who gets in her way, or anyone who messes with a friend or family. while she's trying to rule the school, she's focusing on her grades still, wanting them to be high so she can get a job at the ministry of magic once she's finished. this is her year to shine, and she can't wait for it to happen.

It was a few awkward moments that passed between Monique and Seeley as they had both watched for Bronx to get nearer and nearer to them from the distance. Awkwardness never occurred between the two of them especially, and Monique couldn't help but feel uncomfortable with the feeling as she stood there in the silence with Seeley, waiting for her other brother to approach them. There were a few times where Monique gave a quick glance over towards where Seeley was standing, looking into the distance. His eyes were straight, his mind seemed to be calculating something, and though there normally was a smile spread across his face, for now there only remained the line his lips made. What seemed like after eternity Bronx managed his way over towards the two of them, smiling quickly and greeting the two of them. Monique smiled towards Bronx, her eyes meeting his and casting him a worried look about Seeley and what he had brought them here to discuss.
As Seeley began to speak, Monique noted the uneasiness within his voice. She looked at him concerned, as he spoke about his unusual behaviour over the past few days. As far as she was concerned, she knew that he had been avoiding them, but for the life of her couldn't figure it out. There was no need to avoid her, she wanted to say, but she figured Seeley had a lot more to say. When she had something to talk about, she knew the best way to go about things was to straight out talk about it, and she had never once tried to avoid either Seeley or Bronx. Not seriously anyways. Maybe if they had been teasing her endlessly about some boy when they were a few years younger, but apart from that, she knew that she could depend on them, and found it extremely odd that Seeley had taken the route to keep something hidden from both herself and Bronx. There weren't usually secrets between the three of them and she wondered just how serious this whole thing actually was. And she was about to find out. With a deep breath, Seeley seemed to finally be able to tell both herself and Bronx why he had been avoiding them and why he had been so upset lately. But as much as Monique wanted to know what was wrong, she wondered just how ready she was for the results, especially as the next few words out of his mouth involved their family.
The next few seconds Monique could hardly register what was being said. She stared at Seeley, blinking absently. First there was the fact that dad had been in contact with Seeley for weeks now, and that was why he had been so shut away from the other two. How had he been able to manage all of this by himself for that long, and why did he chose to obey their father. She guessed it must have been hard, and was thankful that she wasn't in his position, but then her mind got to the point of processing the fact that her mom was sick. Leukemia. The word seemed to be fictional as it rang in her ears. She had heard the term, she did grow up with half a side of a family that was muggle. She was aware of cancer, she was aware of the different types of cancer and she was aware that it had killed people. Dad didn't want to worry us, what was that supposed to mean? She guessed it didn't matter now, as now the load had been dumped onto them and Monique's mind was hardly expecting this. Her body seemed to shrink, and her heart seemed to pain. She hadn't even realized but there were tears already forming in her eyes. Her breath was becoming quickened and the words that came out of Seeley's lips were nothing but echoes in her head. She saw his lips move and heard the words but didn't want to process what he was saying. What was he saying? That they were going to be excused from school for a couple days so they could go see her? She was starting treatment, already. The doctor's seemed, positive? How was anyone supposed to seem positive in a situation like the one that was now being presented to them. Monique struggled for words. Her throat felt dry as if sound had never before passed through it before. She couldn't believe this was real. No, it couldn't be.
"What? No. No. This can't..." Monique's words trailed off as she turned to Seeley, meeting his eyes and yet nothing seemed reassuring. The water in her eyes seemed to be getting fuller and overflowing onto her cheeks. But she barely even noticed. What did this mean? What did any of this mean? And why all of a sudden was Seeley telling them. She wished she didn't know. But of course, she had to know. It seemed like mere moments ago her life had been completely different, now with only a few simple sentences her whole entire life was going to be altered. It was a strange concept, but one she knew so many people were used to. She wished she had've known sooner. "Mom," the words simply came out of her lips as she turned now towards where Bronx was standing. Seeley seemed to have had time to take this in and was taking it rather with a hard face, and right now Monique didn't need that. She needed the face and the eyes of someone who had just discovered their lives were going to change. She turned to Bronx, grasping at his face, the difference in it and without really thinking threw herself into his arms. They were both her big brothers, but right now she seemed to need Bronx. She hugged him tightly as her crying began to get harder. Out of anything that she had been expecting today, this was not it. This was far from the scenerio she had imagined in her mind. "Why?" was the only word that seemed to be able to make sense right now inside Monique's head. She didn't care that she wasn't handling this probably the best way that she could of. No, right now all that she cared about was her mother, and getting to her. She didn't want to wait, she wanted to go now, and who cared about school. She wanted to say all of this to Seeley and Bronx, and she would. But right now she needed to cry. This didn't seem real, but the more and more the words replayed over in her head, and the tighter she squeezed Bronx, she knew that she couldn't just close her eyes and make this go away.
This was real.
