bite that lip, cause your tongue is a gun and your brain is the trigger, fire at will, oh i doubt that mouth could get any bigger, live in hypocrisy, those skies are always sunny, you're never gonna be a threat to anybody. you're lying, you're lying, you're gonna be the one left crying. open your eyes and see you are outnumbered, honeyYOU’RE NEVER GONNA BE A THREAT TO ANYBODY
If he had realised how much of an effect threatening her with Peterson had on her then he would have done it a lot sooner. Again, there was a pang of emotion akin to jealousy as she succumbed to the fear of the mentioned Slytherin. He didn’t like that she was more afraid of the younger male who wasn’t even here than of him. One day, when Hailey Thomas heard Rodolphus Lestrange’s name the same terrified look would cross her face. That was his goal; to be the one person she feared most in the world. He figured that maybe to complete that target he may have to kill the others that were likely above him on her list but that didn’t matter. Casualties to the cause.
”SHUT UP!” He yelled at her, completely losing his patience not for the first or last time tonight. ”You really shouldn’t test me you know, Hailey.” He hissed at her, mustering up all of the venom in his body and inflicting it on his words. ”You don’t know what I’m capable of. I told you already I might go and hunt down Peterson, maybe we could finish the job together?” He turned his voice upwards at the end as if asking her a question. Asking her whether she fancied having himself and Peterson forcing themselves upon her. The idea was honestly quite tempting but that would take an awful lot of effort and he didn’t really like to share and besides he was more interested in causing pain via torture. ”Aw, don’t you like me touching you?” His tone turned patronising in the blink of an eye, sneering at her. ”Does it bring back bad memories?”
He was quite enjoying winding her up, he finally felt like he was going somewhere to crushing her spirits but yet again he seemed to have underestimated his prey and she took him by complete surprise when her teeth made firm contact with his arm. He yelled, cursing, automatically letting go of his grip on her. ”You bitch.” There was blood seeping through his robes and he reckoned tiny little teeth marks would appear once the scarlet liquid stopped leaking. ”You’ll pay for that.” Not that he really needed a reason to turn his wand on her again but it made for better drama to make her think she’d brought the torture upon herself. He pointed his wand at the arm tied to her chair and swiped it through the air, creating a gash on Hailey’s arm in return. Maybe he’d mix it up a bit. Fire and blood.
He chuckled menacingly at her again. ”No, this won’t be our last encounter. You can’t hide from me Hailey Thomas. Once the Dark Side has taken control I will hunt. You. Down.” His eyes glittered at the prospect. No more talking, lots more screaming, yes that was much the way Rod preferred it. The thrills were rushing through him again; his eyes captured by the sight of her face in pain, watching her hungrily like a starving boy standing outside a sweetshop. He drank in the sight, the involuntary movements as her body reacted to the pain. It interested him so much. How far could he push the human body? What level of pain could it take? He was burning (excuse the pun) to know the answers. ”I don’t know Hailey,” He said mockingly because he really didn’t give a toss, ”I’m not a healer, I’m an inflictor.”
Satisfaction just wasn’t a strong enough word to cover how it felt when she admitted that she was sorry. The power of it all, he was one step closer to breaking her, one step closer to having her obey his every word. He would say Jump and she’d ask how high. He released her hand from the flames as promised. Her threats were becoming repetitive, they were useless, he had told her that already and yet she persisted. Another explanation wouldn’t go amiss. ”No, you won’t If anyone asks you’ll say you slipped in the common room and your hand fell into the fire as you tried to catch your fall.” Rodolphus had everything planned out – you had to have good excuses ready if you wanted to get away with stuff like this. Not to mention Rod was manipulative and was rather good at talking his way out of situations with professors. He was sure he intimidated the majority of them. ”And unless you want to do all of this again, unless you want me to drag Peterson in on it next time,” He paused, leaving her hanging for a moment or two as the revelations sank in. ”You’ll do as I say. Agreed?” He moved her hand towards the fire again if she needed any extra convincing. ”Now tell me that you deserve to have Peterson come and find you. Tell me that you deserve to be punished because you’re a filthy little blood traitor.”

-----------------------------Up where the mountains meet the heavens above out where the lightening splits the sea I could swear that there's someone watching over me ------------------------------ Hailey flinched away from him when he shouted at her to shut up. Right now it was hard to tell which four people that she feared the most. Kevin, Zach, Marcus, or Rodolphus. It was a silly question to some people but not to this fifteen year old girl. And to be frank, the older Slytherin was slowly climbing up that list. His words were so full of venom that she actually shrank back as far as her chair would allow her to. “I’m not trying to now,” she muttered under her breath. At his next words, however, her head snapped straight up. If possible, her face turned even paler. She shook her head furiously. “N-no. T-there would be no need to. I-I’ll behave.” She told him meekly. The mere thought of having both of them on top of her sent shivers down her spine. “I would be dead before I allowed that to happen,” Not in a million years would she let Rodolphus Lestrange try to force himself on her. “Bellatrix would be furious if I told her that you had done it to me,” Those words had made her way out of her lips before she could stop them. She flinched away again. Hailey would never end up getting out of this classroom alive if she kept going the way she was.
The brown haired girl gave him one of her looks. “No I do not like you touching me Rodolphus.” She refused to answer his next question. Of course it brought up bad memories for her but she would never admit that out loud. Not to him anyways. She had a look of satisfaction when he started to yell at her. At least he had let her go. “Really? Is that the best word you can come up with?” She quirked an eyebrow at him her tone mild. She was trying to add fuel to the fire, so to speak. She didn’t say anything when he told her that she would pay for that. Hailey just looked at him her face blank. She had pretty much heard it all from her father and brother. Her body tensed up as he had his wand at her. A blinding pain on the arm tied to the chair and she cried out in pain, feeling a few drops of blood dripping down the wound. All she can do was to roll her eyes at him. “The Dark Side would never win Rodolphus. How many times have I told you? The light side would defeat it before it got out of control. I would be looking forward to that moment,” her words held nothing but sarcasm. In the back of her mind she was wandering what else he had up his sleeve.
She hung from the ropes in her chair as she continued to watch him. Her eyes flew wide open. “No one would believe that! They would know that something was definitely up. What kind of idiot do you take me for?” Hailey was staring at him in disbelief. Did he really think that she would do that? “They would end up questioning me sooner or later and you know that.” She tried to sound convincing enough but she was starting to doubt herself. Hailey could feel something inside of her slowly snapping. Her fighting spirit was slowly going away. She started to panic silently. Was she going to reach her breaking point? The Ravenclaw let out a whimper at his threat. All she could do was to slowly nod. “Y-yes.” She would get out of here and find Sirius. Her heart sank as she realized it must have been an hour after dinner. Everyone would be going to their common rooms. She would probably have to wait until morning. Hailey shook. “I-I….” She was trying her hardest to say that she would never but something had snapped. She just stared back at him with no emotion. “I’m a blood traitor. I deserved to be punished.” Was this the feeling of being broken?
Was this the feeling of not fighting back, just letting him do whatever he wanted with her? She looked at him for a few moments before slowly looking away. Her eyes had fallen on the fire as she reevaluated the conversation. Her words were starting to become useless. “Just let me go. I promise no one would know,” It came out as a small whisper. She had no edge to fight back. “You had done your job.” Before she would have thought that it was nearly impossible to break her. Her father had tried to do the same thing without the success that Rodolphus was having. Her stomach sank as she looked at her hands. How would she ever managed to hold up a quill or a book or a fork? Tears slowly rolled down her cheeks as she raised her head to look up at him. Tagged. ROD! Words. 820 Notes. bite that lip, cause your tongue is a gun and your brain is the trigger, fire at will, oh i doubt that mouth could get any bigger, live in hypocrisy, those skies are always sunny, you're never gonna be a threat to anybody. you're lying, you're lying, you're gonna be the one left crying. open your eyes and see you are outnumbered, honeyYOU’RE NEVER GONNA BE A THREAT TO ANYBODY
The sneer was practically permanently glued to his face now. All he wanted to do was laugh at how pathetic she was. This whole scenario was proof that as a proud pureblood, as a noble Lestrange, he was better than she. She wouldn’t be dead, because it wasn’t up to her; her life was in Rodolphus’ hands now he was sure of it and he could do whatever the hell he wanted with her. He could see she was finally beginning to understand that that was indeed the case. And Merlin it felt good. He was completely in his element knowing that she had nowhere to hide and knowing that she was succumbing to him, it sent shivers down his spine. Rodolphus would sleep well tonight. Maybe he wouldn’t sleep alone. . . Bellatrix entered his mind and apparently she entered Hailey’s as well and his eyes narrowed dangerously at her words.
With gritted teeth he spoke to her, grabbing her hair and pulling her head upwards as he stuck his face in hers. Letting her know in his tone that he did not find her words the slightest bit amusing. ”You’ll tell no one. Besides, not that it’s any of your damned business but Bellatrix and I are not exclusive.” Just when he thought he was winning with her she had to go and get smart with him. If she wasn’t careful he’d jinx her lips together. Or better yet, stitch them together, painfully so. . . his mind was getting carried away with him but he snapped back to focus with yet another sneer as she agreed that she didn’t like him touching her but she was yet again with the smart mouth. At least he could watch with morbid satisfaction as the blood dripped from the gash in her arm. His wand hand moved to it, squeezing the wound together in order to cause more pain and more blood to seep from it. He’d heal it up for her before she went, she’d just have to say she had a nosebleed.
Usually Rod liked to keep things clean when he tortured people it meant it was easier to hide it but there was no harm in getting carried away every now and then and besides Hailey deserved it. For the first time tonight he wondered why he was giving her this extra special treatment and it was as he sat, contemplating her and drinking in the scene that he realised that it was because she was the type of girl he would actually quite like and he had been cheated out of her because of her desire to be a blood traitor. ”You were hardly very original with me were you? Sick, twisted and bastard, I’ve heard them all before.” He snarled at her, his temper rising once again. Did she have a death wish? ”Such delusions. You are so incredibly young and naive Hailey; it almost pains me to tell you that you are wrong.” Once again his tone switched from mad to patronising in a flash. It was a wonder anyone could keep up with his mood swings.
With a flash of his dark eyes, Rod switched things so that he was using his wand in his left hand to hold her hand tantalisingly above the flames and then used the index finger on his right to invade the wound he had created in her arm, painfully twisting it inside, collecting blood, he wrote the word ‘traitor' on her forehead spelling it out aloud as he did so, so she could tell what he was doing. He chuckled as he leaned backwards slightly to admire his work.
Her words were growing less and less convincing, the fight was beginning to drain from her body, Rod could tell. ”Are you doubting my idea? Do as I say, Hailey or I will be forced to hurt you some more. Trust me, use the excuse, people will believe.” His tone turned darker with his next words. ”When bad things happen, people love to turn a blind eye and ignore what is staring them in the face.” He frowned at her, the sneer still in place. ”There is nothing to question. You fell in the fire. See?” He regained a grip of her arm and forced it into the flames again. ”Such a clumsy girl.” He tutted at her, shaking his head, a twisted smile on his sneering face. He hoped this haunted her dreams tonight. The smile slash sneer only increased as he watched her admit it; his eyes widening, drinking it all in, letting her words fill him up with a great ecstasy. She was giving in to him. This was what he was waiting for. And although it felt more than amazing, he was a little disappointed because he knew that it meant things would soon be coming to an end.
He raised an eyebrow, pretending to consider over letting her go. ”Say please and I’ll consider it. In fact,” because, you know, he was feeling in a particularly vindictive mood, ”Say please, beg me to let you go and tell me that you’re mine and that you’re going to do whatever I say.” Was vindictive a strong enough word?

-----------------------------Up where the mountains meet the heavens above out where the lightening splits the sea I could swear that there's someone watching over me ------------------------------ Something inside of her had snapped. She was quite sure that It had been her fighting spirit. A look of alarm went through her eyes. She didn’t want to admit to the fact that he had broken her. Not yet at least. She thought that he would never break her. Oh how very wrong she was. Hailey had cried out when he had gripped her hair tightly. Her eyes widen as she stared into his. Their faces were a mere few inches apart from each other. “They would know if something was wrong.” She breathed. “They’ll get the truth out of me.” Really, she should learn to keep her mouth shut. Her words were becoming less and less convincing even to her. She hesitated while staring straight into his eyes. Rodolphus looked mildly attractive even in this state. She quickly bit down on her lower lip and silently cursing herself. You idiot! Don’t think about such things like that. Don’t even say it. He’ll use it to his advantage. And besides, most Slytherins would turn their noses up at you for being a blood traitor! That thought alone had scared her out of her mind. Why did she found someone like him, a complete psychopath, attractive? Surely there was something mentally wrong with her. She considered it a very good thing that he couldn’t read her mind. Merlin only knows what he would do with the information.
“Does Bellatrix know she’s dating a psychopath?” Hailey didn’t know when to keep her mouth shut for her own good. The brown haired girl hissed in pain as he squeezed her wound. She could feel more blood seeping through and she prayed it wouldn’t stain the sleeve of her robes. She was scared that she might be drained out of blood before she could find help. As if her mouth had a mind of its own, “You want me to say something stronger? I can list every single word that my father said to me I can say to you.” Really, she ought to think before she speaks. She quickly bit down on her lower lip to keep herself from retorting that she was not wrong. That she knew she was right and on the right side. Hailey winced as her hand was held above the flames. She could feel a few of them licking her fingers. The Ravenclaw cried out in pain, struggling uselessly against the ropes as she felt his finger going inside the wound. She tried to yank her head back but the chair could only allow her to go so far. Hailey started to cry as she felt the wetness on her forehead. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she was shaking. “You’re mad.” She managed to croak through her tears. “You’re barking mad Rodolphus.” Her face had gone milky white as she continued to stare up at him.
That was it for Hailey. The fifteen year old burst into a fresh wave of tears. Her resistance was starting to crumble. She hissed in pain softly as her hand was thrust into the fire. “Only you would know that so well wouldn’t you?” It came out as barely a whisper. She knew that people would believe even the most craziest of things. She didn’t dare reply to him as she thought frantically to what Sirius was doing right now. Surely he would be roaming the halls. She had to find him before he walked into the common room. Hailey was shaking and crying. She practically had to force the next words out of her lips. “Please Rodolphus. Please let me go. I won’t…..I won’t tell anyone.” That in itself was a downright lie right there. Of course she would say anything to get out. She raised her head to look up at him with tears streaming down her face. “I’ll….I’ll do whatever you want me to do.” This was reaching a new low even for him. “I’m…I’m yours.” She broke down completely. She would say anything, anything at all, to get him to release her. The fifth year realized that she was in his control. That he was the one calling the shots and barking orders at her. That he was the one who had successfully broken her. “Rodolphus…I beg of you. Let me go.” Tagged. Rodolphusss Words. 716 Notes. My muse ran away from me. Credits. bite that lip, cause your tongue is a gun and your brain is the trigger, fire at will, oh i doubt that mouth could get any bigger, live in hypocrisy, those skies are always sunny, you're never gonna be a threat to anybody. you're lying, you're lying, you're gonna be the one left crying. open your eyes and see you are outnumbered, honeyYOU’RE NEVER GONNA BE A THREAT TO ANYBODY
Maybe, if he listened closely, just maybe, he could hear her spirit breaking. Crumbling into tiny pieces right in front of his very eyes. She was no longer struggling, (though he had managed to draw a cry from her as he had grabbed her hair). There was even less fear, but he knew it was because he had broken her. ”No, they won’t” he breathed back. ”And you’ll be very sorry if they do.” He made sure, that even though his voice was nothing more than a raspy whisper, that his words held the promise of further pain if she did spill this to anybody. She would be stupid to report him. Rod could cover his tracks and besides, it was simply her word against his. He watched her bite down on her lower lip and it made something inside of him ache. How did she manage to look so feeble, so vulnerable, so coy and so enticing all at the same time? He was more than certain that she didn’t intend to come across that way but it drove him crazy and it made him hate her even more.
He was mad. He took the utmost pleasure in torturing her and humiliating her. He didn’t know why, he didn’t like to question the emotions inside of him that drove him to do things like this. He enjoyed it so why would he stop? Even though he knew that this was not ‘normal,’ not how almost every other student in the school felt. It was because he was better than them. Stronger. He’d proven it right now by crushing Hailey. He smiled his words sarcastic and dry, ”You must not have met Bellatrix.” Because she of course, thought similarly to him. Feeling and watching her struggle helplessly against him only added to his enjoyment. And her words were becoming less and less irritating because he knew she had lost all fight or maybe it was just easier to ignore her now that he was in his element. She’d not gotten out of this, she had suffered. All at Rodolphus Lestrange’s hands. He loved it when a plan came together.
She was saying exactly what he wanted her to. He had done it, he had gotten her completely under his control. He let out a long burst of air he hadn’t even known he had been holding as he listened to her beg, a satisfied sneer on his face. Rodolphus realised that he could ask her to do or say anything and she would. He had pushed her to that point. He had done it. The power rush was crazy. He felt ultimate, invincible, and he was sure the look on his face was terrifying. He watched the tears run down her cheeks, her chest rise and fall with each sob, leaving her hanging. Making her think he was contemplating his decision. Eventually, silently, he stood up, carefully extracting himself from his position. He made the fire disappear, cleaned out the inside of the bin, removing it of ash. Completely covering his tracks. He now simply had to rely on Hailey to keep her trap shut.
Finally, he made the ropes binding Hailey dissolve to nothing. He reached into his robe, producing her wand and dropping it to the floor. It took a lot of his strength not to crush it beneath his boot. He opened his mouth to speak, his words husky, haughty, holding a cruel undertone and full of swagger. ”I’ll see you around, sweetie.” And without a backward glance, wearing a satisfied smirk he didn’t think he’d lose for a week, he left the room.
