Here is a list of all special abilities/species allowed, there is a cap on the amount of characters allowed to have certain abilities so please be aware of that when applying because we want to keep them special. Also, if you already have a character on this list, please do not apply again - we want to allow all members a chance to have a character with an ability if they so wish.

ANIMAGUS

Witches and wizards who have attained the ability to change into an animal - which typically requires a lot of training to successfully achieve. Succesful animagi are required to register at the Ministry as one, though not all do.

METAMORPHMAGUS

A witch or wizard with the ability to change their physical appearance at will. They are noted to be extremely rare.

WEREWOLVES

A human who, upon the full moon; transforms into a werewolf.

VAMPIRES

A magical hominid, that is known for biting people on the neck and sucking their blood. They are usually pale and gaunt, with sharp teeth for puncturing the neck. They have an aversion to garlic and can be kept at bay by its presence.

A witch or wizard with the ability to speak to serpent based creatures. It is a very uncommon skill, and is typically hereditary. Nearly all known Parselmouths are descended from Salazar Slytherin.

SEERS

A gifted wizard or witch who has the ability to see into the future with their Inner Eye. Seers predict prophecies, which are then recorded and stored in the Hall of Prophecy in the Ministry of Magic's Department of Mysteries. True Seers are considered extremely rare.

OCCULMENCY

Occlumency is the act of magically closing one's mind against Legilimency. It can prevent a Legilimens from accessing one's thoughts and feelings, or influencing them. A person who practises this art is known as an Occlumens.

LEGILIMENCY

Legilimency is the act of magically navigating through the many layers of a person's mind and correctly interpreting one's findings. A person who practises this art is known as a Legilimens. Laymen sometimes refer to Legilimency as "mind-reading," but practitioners disdain this term as naive.

SPELL CREATION

Spell creation is the highly dangerous and mysterious art of creating new spells. Only witches and wizards with great understanding of magic are known to be able to invent and create spells.

WANDLESS MAGIC

Wandless magic is performed without the use of a wand. This magic can be particularly volatile, and can only be used effectively by powerful and disciplined wizards and witches. Sometimes, specific hand gestures focus the power of the spell and guide it to the target.

HALF-GIANTS

Beings with some, but not a total, amount of giant heritage or blood, as well as part human blood. They are usually considered extremely tall by human standards and short by giant standards.

A cross-breed between a human (normally a wizard or witch) and a Veela. They are known to be exceptionally beautiful and have the ability to entrance men supernaturally. Half-Veela are also not immune to the effects of old age, which causes good looks to inevitably deteriorate. They a commonly known to have light coloured hair.
