The common room was the gathering for all students in that particular house and Alice loved that sense of community it brought to thier world. It allowed her to visit with her friends at all hours of the day and night, assuming that she wasn't asleep or in class within that moment. Classes took up all of her day since she was taking a full class load but it was as she had planned with the head of her house. They sat down and spoke extensively about what she wanted to do and Alice always had this desire to follow in her father's foot steps. See her father was sort of a mystery to her since he was rarely around but he was still her father. And mystery brought something to life that kept her on her toes. It made life exciting and Alice would not have it any other way. But still there were questions that she had and to be honest right now she needed some girl talk with one of her fellow gryffindor females.
The girls in her year had formed this really tight bond since thier first year at Hogwarts. They would stay up late in the common room on the weekends and just giggle like girls at a slumber party. Sometimes there were more serious things to speak about like boys and all that came with being a teenage girl. Alice was starting to develop a crush on her friend Frank Longbottom but she knew that he had previously dated another friend of hers Molly. It was all so confusing and she hoped that maybe Lily would have some insight into her life that Alice couldn't see. So she left her bedroom and went downstairs to the common room. Since it was night time people were starting to head to bed and she hoped that she could catch Lily before bed.
Her bright blue eyes scanned over the thinning crowd in the room before she stopped and landed her gaze right on her red headed friend. Alice smiled brightly as she moved over to her fellow sixth year. "Hey there!" She said as she greeted her. "Mind if I sit?" She asked as she motioned to the chair next to her friend. Of course she didn't want to distrub her if Lily was working on some homework or something. But she did want to sit and talk with her about these feelings and thoughts. Quickly she tossed some hair behind her shoulder to get it out of the way.
((sorry its short))
