you killed what was left of the good in meI'M TIRED, SO LET ME BE BROKEN This was when he liked the common room. In the dead of night. There was no one around, no one to pester him, no first years playing exploding snap in the middle of the room, no girls giggling and gossiping about which boy this week they found cute and no other brooding Slytherins forcing him to make conversation with them. If Rod could have things his way, the place would be like this all of the time. He shouldn’t have to share his surroundings with so many insufferable people. There weren’t many in this world that he could put up with; all of them were Slytherins, but sometimes it was nice to be alone. Solitary was how Rodolphus preferred to be, but when you had as much status in the school as he did, people tended to cling to you, or at least try to.
A lot of Slytherins were nocturnal creatures however and even when Rod got up in the middle of the night there was still usually someone in the common room. Not tonight however and he reckoned it was because there was a party going on in one of the larger dungeons. It was someone’s birthday, Rod didn’t care whose and he hadn’t bothered going at all. Usually he wouldn’t turn down an excuse to get drunk but tonight he hadn’t been in the mood. His recent drunken excursion was still playing on his mind and although this bash was for Slytherins only (though it was very likely other houses would gatecrash especially those Gryffindors who loved to rain on everybody’s parade) he still didn’t want to risk it. Besides, it meant he could have the place to himself and he would stay up until the early hours watching with amusement as people rolled in drunk.
He sat by the fire, watching the flames flicker was enough to keep him occupied today. Funny how some days he seemed overcome by boredom and unable to find anything or anyone to keep him satisfied and then other times he could quite happily just sit and do nothing but mull over the thoughts in his head. The common room door opened, pulling him from his reverie and he looked up to see two Slytherin fourth years, one male and one female stumbling into the room, holding onto each other for support but they still practically fell into the room. Rod frowned at them but they didn’t even notice his existence their eyes were only for each other. The girl let out a high pitched giggle, a sound that you could only tolerate if you were very drunk and the two of them disappeared into the corridor that led to the dormitories. He highly doubted whether they’d make it to a bed, they both looked completely out of it.
To be young and foolish, it was a blessing even if you couldn’t see it when you were younger. He’d been like that once, unable to hold his drink and being absolutely off his face before the night had even really started. But he’d learned to pace himself and learned that things worked better for you if you didn’t get so wasted. That used to be the rule anyway. His frown returned, he didn’t want to think about that though unfortunately it seemed to be the only thing on his mind these days. When he next saw her he’d curse Ellen Leyden for leading him astray. He hated to admit it, but she was the reason he wasn’t out tonight. He was overcome with rage all of a sudden, it always happened scarily fast like that and he now had the urge to hex somebody. Since there was nobody else in the room to attack he picked up an ink bottle that someone had left lying around and threw it with all his strength against the brick wall above the fireplace feeling slightly satisfied by it smashing and raining glass and ink on the hearth. Feeling somebody’s eyes on him, Rodolphus looked up to see that that the common room door had opened again. tag! tabby words! a number lyrics! a day to remember - you be tails, i'll be sonic notes! he does want company really, honest!

----------------------------- The dead of night seemed to be when Tabitha was awake at its fullest. She was on her way back to the castle from a night spent in the Forbidden Forest. She usually did not wonder off but she was persuaded by none other than her boyfriend. Michale only grinned and held onto her hand tightly. Tabitha, more commonly known as Tabby, shrieked as she stumbled, the leaves crushing underneath her feet. Coming from a respectful pureblood family meant that the seventeen year old had to behave in a certain way. Only this night, she was all out and maybe a bit drunk. Michale guided her out of the forest and across the lawns. The forest was an odd place to hold a party for two but whatever floated Tabitha’s boat. She never felt this much happier than she had been before. She would be graduating from Hogwarts this year and was engaged to a wonderful man that was watching her every step. She was from an old pureblood family and who couldn’t ask for more? Tabitha was spoiled. The youngest and only girl and she had everyone in her family wrapped around her little finger.
She loved her life and wouldn’t trade it in for the world. The two Slytherins now walked through the halls, stopping every now and then to kiss. Even in her drunken state Tabby felt lucky that they didn’t cross any perfects or teachers. They would have had detentions for months on in but it was worth it. Tonight was a night for fun and romance. Albeit a drunken romance but it was all the same. It seemed like forever before they reached the common room. Michale said the password, his speech a bit slurred and it opened. Both of them crawled in and Michale told her a good night. He kissed her before stumbling on his way to the boys dorm. Tabitha just stayed there as she looked around at her surroundings. The common room was empty at first. Good, she thought to herself. That way I can flop onto one of the couches. Sounds of breaking glass reached her ears and she quirked an eyebrow before her eyes fell onto the person that was standing there. Meeting his eyes Tabitha smirked widely as she walked, or rather stumbled, to Rodolphus Lestrange.
“What are you doing here all by your lonesome Lestrange?” The seventh year purred as she flopped onto the couches. “Shouldn’t you be out partying with the rest of us? Or did someone break your heart and you need it to heal?” Really, to most people a drunken Tabitha wasn’t someone to be messed around with. She made herself comfortable on the couch as she grinned at him. Her eyes held an odd look to them as she examined the Slytherin that was in her year. She would like to say that she knew him well. But the matter of truth was that she didn’t. He was always in the background at some pureblood party or an event. The blonde haired girl said nothing for quite some time as she kept on staring at him, looking at him up and down. He was attractive, mildly so. She had an amused look on her face as she thought that her drunken state was over taking her again. Tabitha couldn’t even remember when, during her sober moments, that she ever thought of him like that. “I have the perfect remedy for your situation Lestrange. A trip down to the kitchens. I’m sure we can get you to drink tonight.” Her mouth was running on its own again.
“Now baby,” Tabitha purred as she slowly rose to her feet. “I hate to think that you’re all alone by yourself here. Don’t you want any company?” She walked over to Rod and attempted to wrap her arms around him. Oh yes, the blonde haired girl was completely drunk. She only had a few beers. Well okay, four to be exact. She just thanked her lucky stars that all of her brothers had graduated from Hogwarts. Tabitha wouldn’t know what she would have done if they just walked in. She laid her head on his back. As long as Michale didn’t know about this she was alright with it. There was no guilt in her tonight. The alcohol seemed to have taken away her emotions for the night. you killed what was left of the good in meI'M TIRED, SO LET ME BE BROKEN It was another drunken couple that entered. It seemed Rod was destined to watch the love lives of his fellow Slytherins this night and not get lucky himself. Oh well, he’d made the decision to stop in, wasn’t like he could complain. These two unlike the last pair of lovebirds he did recognise. He watched them practically fall through the stone entranceway, clinging onto each other like they were the only lifeline in the world. He watched them like a predator might assess prey that was there but couldn’t be bothered to catch. Watching, waiting, considering over his move. His eyes scanned their clumsy kiss and overindulgent expressions. They clearly had eyes only for each other and although it made Rod feel quite sick, he kept his hawk-like eyes trained upon them, watching their movements and wondering whether he would be forced to strike. Drunken men liked to start fights, especially when they had a girl with them that they wanted to impress. But Michale stumbled off, obviously wanting somewhere to crash his heavy head and Rod was left with just Tabitha to deal with. He cocked his head to one side as she stared dreamily after her love, wondering when she was going to follow him to bed. But she didn’t.
He watched, unable to keep the amused expression off of his face as she stumbled towards him. He raised his eyebrows appraisingly at her unsteady fall onto the sofa. She was completely off her face, smashed, plastered, sloshed, 368 ml down, hammered, whatever you called it, she was drunk. And flirtatious apparently. Rod liked it. She wasn’t exactly being subtle but it was fun, it made a pleasant change to having to do all of the hard work. The amused expression stayed on his face as she boldly, there was no other way to put it, checked him out. He looked down at himself as well just in case he was wearing something hideous or something because her eyes were drawn to his body so brazenly. But nope, he looked just as smart as usual. He returned the favour by looking her up and down as well. She was hot. He would. Lying there on the sofa staring up at him with lust-filled eyes, it was no surprise Rod’s mind began to wonder. He’d always thought that he would get with her but she always showed Michale too much interest. But not tonight apparently.
“My heart is in perfectly good condition,” He scoffed, “Though I appreciate the concern, Tabitha you need not worry.” He waited for some kind of reaction to his words though in her current state he wasn’t sure she would even understand what he was saying or be listening to him at all for that matter. Her mind definitely seemed to be elsewhere given the lengthy silence that proceeded and Rod hoped it wasn’t in her boyfriend's bedroom. He used that time to assess the situation. She was drunk, outrageously so, and Rod knew all too well what alcohol did to girls. He was sober and angry and needed an outlet for his frustrations. There were two things that he did to exercise his rage. One was torture, the other was sex. The decision was really quite easy to make. He was therefore determined to make sure her focus was him. “Why do you ask? Do I look like someone who needs . . . healing?” His words were spoken low and huskily because Tabitha was here and he was more than ready to take advantage of her shamelessly coming on to him.
His expression turned very interested as he watched her get to her feet. He didn’t really know Tabitha but he was pretty sure that this was not normal behaviour for her but he wasn’t complaining as she wrapped her arms around him that was for sure. But he stood still at the touch, he wanted her to chase him a little bit more, he needed his ego stroking a little bit. Truth be told, his heart did need fixing, he needed to prove that he was still the careless, cold-hearted man. “I’m not in the mood for drinking. . . I’m in the mood for something else.” He let his fingers trace up one of her arms that was holding onto him. There was no point in being too subtle with someone when they were this intoxicated. With steady force he extracted himself from her hold and spun so that they were both face to face once more.
He let her see the carnal look in his eyes, even in her condition; she couldn’t fail to notice it. But then he smiled down at her, a charming, I’m going to be the better man smile, sitting her swaying figure back down on the couch with more force than was necessary though. Just to prove that he was going to be in control, he wanted this to happen and it was going to. That controlling action indicated much more than just a simple ‘you should sit down’ it was more of a, ‘you should sit down because that’s where I want you to be.’ Slowly, he placed himself next to her, sitting sideways so that he could see her face and lying his arm behind her on the back of the sofa. He was quiet for a moment, watching her for his actions to register. “And to answer your previous question . . . I want your company.” It wasn’t a request, it was a demand for her attention. tag! tabby words! 926 lyrics! a day to remember - you be tails, i'll be sonic notes! He quite likes drunken Tabitha xD

----------------------------- The blonde haired girl, well really a woman, settled herself on the couch. She glanced up to Rodolphus and smirked, tilting her head to one side. Her blue eyes were a bit cloudy yet she was watching him. “Is that so? Then why, prey, did you just throw that?” Tabitha nodded to the black mess on the floor. “If you want my opinion you shouldn’t dwell on things that might make you more angry by the minute.” She stretched out both of her arms. Even she was surprised that she had managed to give advice in her current state. Her current, drunken state. While they were both in the same year Tabitha tended to avoid Rodolphus. She only knew him by name and of course the rumors that were floating around the castle. This time the seventeen year old quirked an eyebrow at him. “You seem rather tense. Angry all the time. You need to relax some more. I’ll show you a good time.” There was a purr at the last sentence. Not to mention a bit of a slur. When drunk, Tabitha tended to say some things that made no sense to them whatsoever. Looking at him up and down Tabby released, and not for the first time, that Rodolphus was rather attractive.
Her mind was whirling with thoughts. Thoughts that made only half sense. She had considered it a good thing that Michale was upstairs and knocked out. Tabitha could only smirk when she wrapped her arms around him even tighter. She buried her head in his shirt, breathing in his smell. He smelled so…she couldn’t quite put her finger on it. She slowly raised her head and just stared at him. She smirked. “Is it that something else that I have on my mind as well Lestrange?” The blonde haired girl shivered lightly at his touch. She wanted more of him. “I can probably think of a million other things that I would like to do with you. We’re alone. You’re being your broody and sulking self. And me being this pretty how could you not resist me?” She was glad that they were alone in the common room. It was also in the middle of the night. Not a lot of people were up at this hour. Tabitha pouted a little as he slipped out of her hold. She wanted to keep him close. “Come on Rodolphus.” She purred. “You know you can’t deny the fact that you want me.” There was something odd that had glittered in her eyes. She drew in a sharp breath as their faces were a mere few inches apart from each other.
She took this opportunity to study his eyes. They were, indeed, beautiful. There was a certain look in his eyes that made her smirk. Tabitha was a bit taken off guard when she was practically forced back down on the couch. She took one look at his smile and completely melted. It was insane the many things that she was feeling for Rodolphus Lestrange. She moved even closer to him, enjoying the touch of his arms. The seventeen year old reached up and wrapped her arms around him again. “Well then, baby, I’m here and I’m not moving anywhere.” Her eyes glittered as she relaxed in his arms. There was really nothing more she wanted to do right now. Or maybe this could be the alcohol that was talking. It could have been the alcohol that was taking over and pushing the more rational Tabitha Sullivan out of her mind. She reached up to kiss his lips softly. “Come on Rodolphus Lestrange. Take me with you.” A thought occurred in her mind. One that she had considered to be the rational part of her. What if Bellatrix would come down and see the two of them sleeping together? What would she do then? She shook her head at her thoughts.
Tabitha could have used some more drinks. Well okay, maybe two or three more. Then she wouldn’t be having this feeling of slight regret. Enough Sullivan, she snapped at herself silently. You have come this far. You are not backing out even if it is the alcohol! The seventh year Slytherin raised her head and smirked at him as she pulled apart after the kiss. “Do you want more?” Her voice is soft as her eyes continued to twinkle with mere delight. It seemed that her rational part was shot down as desire took over her completely. “I can give you more.” She nuzzled up against him. She was going to regret this decision come morning. But really, there was nothing she could do as she relaxed, letting Rodolphus be in charge of this situation. And quite honestly, she loved a man that was controlling. [/size] Tagged. you killed what was left of the good in meI'M TIRED, SO LET ME BE BROKEN His jaw set a bit, muscles clenched as Tabby pointed out the broken mess of glass and ink on the floor. He didn't turn to look at where she was pointing he knew exactly what she meant and there was no use denying it, she had walked in as he had thrown it against the fireplace. "It’s nothing," he said in a voice of forced light heartedness because he didn't want to be mad at her and he certainly did not want to talk about what it was that had put him into such a rage. "It's out of my system now." he assured her, knowing that as soon as he had her underneath him it would most definitely be out of his system. He was ready to move her off of the topic with a distraction of his own but her drunkenness rendered her so unfocused that she had already moved on.
Some people might have higher standards. Some people might have looked at Tabitha realised she was completely off of her face and took her up to bed, maybe even would be considerate enough to put a bucket by the side of her bed and leave her out a glass of water. But Rod wasn't that type of person, he was the one that was more than willing to take advantage regardless of the fact that she was in a relationship. If Michale wanted to walk in on them then Rod was more than certain he could defend himself. It was hardly his fault that his girlfriend had chosen to spend the night with him instead. Though he did wonder why after they had looked so loved up together earlier. Not that he was complaining but it didn't make Tabitha look very good. He let her put her arms around him, let her hold on to him and did nothing in return as he rather enjoyed having her full attention, having her flirt so focused on him and what she wanted. He didn't say anything, just smiled his smug smirk down at her, knowing she was right, he did want her but he was reluctant to admit it out loud yet. After all having her paw all over him was quite nice and so he wanted more of it first. He raised his eyebrows at her but he wasn't altogether shocked by how obvious she was being. She was drunk but more importantly he was Rodolphus Lestrange why wouldn't she want him? "I think so yes." he replied, not being able to help chuckling at her next words. She was pretty, more than so and he was sulking therefore putting two and two together made perfect sense. He was going to close the distance between them but she beat him to it. The eagerness of her sent desire lancing through him as did their close proximity. He might have looked calm and cool on the outside but his heart was beating frantically with the sudden rush of excitement and anticipation. ”A million other things?” He smiled suggestively, another surge rushing through him; his eyes alight with ideas that would make a sailor blush. If anything the fact that he was sober made it all the more exciting since she was forbidden and they were in the common room; it would actually be a first for Rod. ”You better hope no one walks in on us then... or maybe it won’t matter since we’ll give them a pretty good show.” He said confidently, so close to her now that he could smell the cool air she had brought in from outside, a hint of her perfume mixed with the prominent tang of alcohol.
He was suddenly aware that he hadn’t shaved recently as he absently ran his hand beneath his chin, his own aftershave clinging to his fingers now, a fresh spicy scent. Hopefully she wouldn’t care; she was probably too drunk to. Saying that he was slightly unprepared when she kissed him, tasting purely of alcohol but it wasn't unpleasant. He thought that now they were so close together he might smell Michale on her since she had probably been clinging to him all night but underneath the powerful smell of alcohol was a hint of himself after she had buried her head against his chest earlier. So he kissed her back, commanding and fierce, lip pressing against lip, one hand in hair, the other tightening around her waist. He felt like he had more of a point to prove because she was someone else’s girl. To prove that he was the better choice but unfortunately one night was all she was going to get. He wanted to mark her so he trailed his lips down to her neck; he actually hoped Michale wouldn’t have too many holes in his memory so that he could remember that her neck had been perfectly clear before he left her.
The plan had been to get her to flirt with him a little more but she was good and his mind was already on the next step, the kiss, her words, they pushed him over the edge. However well practiced he was, right now he was unable to hide what he was feeling and he simply gave into it. "I want more," he answered his voice nothing more than a husky whisper as at last he put his arms around her again, allowing himself to wander this time. "I want you." His lips found hers again and he stepped things up now because she had allowed him to, lying her down on the couch. He broke away, hovering over her, simply to catch sight of the effect he was having on her, he wanted to see it in her eyes that she was wondering if Rodolphus could give her more than her boyfriend could. ”I hope you realise how special that makes you.” He was more than willing to rise to the challenge.
Special probably really wasn’t the right word, this was going to be quick and hurried and very unromantic. (Rod of course did not do romantic in the slightest) He would make minimum effort; she was wasted, so it wasn’t as if she would remember it anyway. He’d make sure she enjoyed herself but he wasn’t going to hang about undressing her and whispering sweet nothings. He didn’t need to make much effort, she’d done all the seducing for him anyway and he didn’t want to. He was simply going to use Tabby to release his frustrations hard and fast and then the both of them would feel better, if only for a little while.
