Homework. What a pain in the ass. Who actually liked having piles of homework to do? Luke didn't know anyone who did. As the Gryffindor walked along the corridors, he towered over everyone else in the school at a whopping seven foot four. His shoulder length blond hair was a mess from having run his hand through it so many times in frustration.
Luke was heading for the library, wanting to get some studying done and finish his homework. It was an annoying paper, a long ass one on history of magic and the giant war. Then he had his Astronomy homework and his Divination homework, and Potions and DADA. In short, he had a lot of homework to get through. He wore his casual clothes, a light, long sleeved red shirt and black jeans. His trusty flute necklace rested on his chest, it was carved from wood and had that 'hand made' quality to it.
His eyes, a nice sapphire blue were focused on the path ahead, moving around other students as he walked along. His hand reached up, scratching the scar on his face gently. It ran from under his left eye to his chin and was long and thin. As he walked along, he kept an eye out for anyone who wasn't paying attention, he didn't want to crash into them and cause trouble or anything of the sort.
Into the library he went, glad the doors were so very tall and grand. He had no need to duck under the door frame like he did with so many other entrances. He waved to the librarian who gave him a 'be careful' look. "Geez." Luke muttered to himself, "You get tripped by one cat, crash into one stupid shelf and knock everything down and the librarian's breathing down your neck for life." He grumbled, cursing his bad luck.
The boy walked along, scanning the shelves and looking for any books that would be useful. He soon had a pretty good sized stack and he sat down to read and do his homework. He was only there for about twenty minutes, before a familiar and frankly, unwelcome voice sounded by his ear.
"Hey giant boy." it was Rita Skeeter. Luke usually told her to go away and then started talking and she'd twist his words and put them into an annoying article. He decided instead, that he was going to ignore her.
So, for another twenty minutes, no matter what Rita said or did, Luke pretended as if she wasn't there and to his pleasure, it was working! She was getting more and more agitated the longer he continued to ignore her. Then, she did something he couldn't ignore. She struck him in the back of the head with a book. Not just any book. Hogwarts: A History to be exact.
WHAM! His head pitched forward and his face slammed into this table. WHAM!
"DAMMIT SKEETER!" Luke snarled, turning to glare at her as he rubbed his face with one hand, then dropped his voice to a whisper "What the hell is the matter with you? Go away."
(Pretty much did it how it went in the iccbox. If that's not cool, then let me know and I'll change it.)
