luke jasper denmark
[/B]: Luke keep his hair down to his shoulders, it's blond and thick, and somewhat curly, in a very messy way. He doesn't exactly like it, but at least it's not a total bush. It's just smooth enough for someone (hopefully a girl) to run their fingers through.
full name: Luke Jasper Denmark the second
age: Sixteen
year: 6th
birthday: March 16th 1960
blood line: Half
occupation: None
house: Gryffindor
EYE DETAILS: Luke's eyes are big and an almost sapphire blue, or ocean blue depending on who you're talking to. They're very expressive and often betray the emotions he refuses to show when he's trying to be brave or tough or manly.
HEIGHT/WEIGHT/BUILD: Luke is tall. A full seven foot four. His shoulders and back are broad, his arms and legs muscular and well sculpted from years of punishing training sessions in many forms of physical activity. He's also tanned from being out in the sun and weights a hefty 280 or so pounds. Luke isn't the type to allow himself to get fat, so it's mostly muscle and general body weight.
STYLE: Luke tends to wear long sleeved shirts, unless it's much too hot out, in which case he'll wear short sleeves. Jeans and shoes are his staple outfit. Nothing that constricts his movement and nothing too bright. When he has to wear a jacket, he goes for a long coat that blows in the wind like a cape. He just likes long flowing jackets.
His extra height and large build means that most of his clothes are hard to find, so he has to settle for what he can get, which explains (with the exception of his jacket) the plain, almost boring style he has. He goes for comfort much more than fashion and freedom of movement.
He never goes anywhere without one piece of jewelry, that's not really jewelry at all, but a wooden flute. It hangs from a chain fitted to a small clasp. The chain is nothing special, it's the instrument that means to most to him. If it's not in plain view on his chest, he has it under his shirt or robes.
OVERVIEW: Since Luke is outside most of time if the weather's good (and sometimes if it's bad) he has a nice tan. He carries himself with the grace and confidence of a fighter. Not a single move is wasted and though he's almost freakishly tall, he's agile and fast.
He knows he'd be handsome without the scar on his face. It runs from under his left eye, to nearly his chin. It's long and thin, it's a curse scar. Other than that, he has nice features. He has a gentle look about him, but piss him off and he can get frightening.
His arms are long and strong, on his right arm is another scar. It runs from his shoulder to nearly his wrist. It's deep and wide, and is another curse scar. The rest of his body is free of any scarring however. His stomach is flat and well muscled. His little brother once said that 'you could grate cheese on those abs' even though he had no idea what it meant.
One look at Luke and you know that he's a fighter. From the shoulders, all the way to his feet it's obvious that if you get on his bad side, you're in for a major beat down. Muggle style.

QUIRKS:
Luke tends to pace when he's thinking. If he's moving, he can think better.
He strokes his necklace whenever he's frightened or angry.
He also fidgets during class, tapping his foot, drumming his fingers, anything to keep from sitting too still for too long.
He never really stops training (or at least it seems that way)
OVERVIEW: Luke is a very kind person and he's often standing up for the younger children. He's brave and honest, but he's also got a temper and when he's good at keeping it under control under most circumstances, there are times when he snaps. He doesn't like for his flute to be touched, or his to have his parents insulted or to be called 'scar face'. When he snaps, people will know because then he attacks.
He's very competitive, and if someone challenges him to a fight, a race, or any competition he won't turn them down and will give it everything he has. He loves a challenge almost as much as loves his little brother and doesn't back down from them. Be it in classes or in life.
He also spends a good deal of time studying and since he's a very active young man, he does it outside or where there's a fair bit of back ground noise. His studies are pretty much the only thing keeping his grades afloat he'll never forget having to show his five year old brother his report card after his Godfather Iggy hit the roof. The little boy had laughed so hard that Luke kicked him into the pond and walked off in a huff. Since then, he's tried to improve his grades and his study habits.
Luke can't stand to see a girl cry because it scares him and makes him feel like he should be doing something but most of the time he doesn't know what, so he gets sort of panicky when a girl cries in front of him. He tries to help anyway, even if he's just a shoulder to cry on. He's shy when it comes to the ladies, so it's awkward to him to see them crying.
When he's with a girl that he likes, he gets tongue tied, he rambles, blushes and basically acts like any nervous teenage would act in front of his girl. He tends to get too nervous to ask the girls out or even give them flowers or tell them his feelings, so he just acts like a fool around them and embarrasses himself. He blushes easily when this happens, to his own humiliation. As for how he acts in class, he's pretty well behaved, he doesn't act up or anything but there are certain teachers which he doesn't like. There isn't anything he can do about that so he keeps his opinions about them to himself. But he'll gripe about them to Iggy every now and again.
Luke is also a very proud person, when he's in physical pain, he tries not to show it. He'll hide it out of his pride and his longing to be strong, so unless he's in horrible mind numbing pain, he won't complain. He also doesn't like showing emotions such as sorrow or sadness, so if he is sad he does a good job of hiding it. He isn't arrogant in his pride however, he just wants to prove he's strong inside and out.
Ever since he was six he was raised to treat girls with the utmost respect. To hold open doors for them, buy their meal at lunch or dinner, purchase movie tickets for her and generally treat a girl like a precious gem. There are lines though which he draws, such as putting his coat down over a puddle for the girl to step on. He knows that's just stupid. He'll also stand up for a girl. If anyone is giving a girl a hard time, he'll step in. If a man dares to strike a woman for any reason, he will beat them to a pulp no questions asked.

OVERVIEW: When he was a child, Luke was constantly playing games with his imagination and he always dreamed of becoming a martial artist like his father. He was tall for his age, and he followed his dad around like a shadow, insisting that the man show him everything he knew about fighting. Luke insisted on becoming a fighter, even if he was too young. He was a very optimistic child. He often played with the children in his neighborhood, and when he was five, a small girl discovered one of his greatest weaknesses. Having his hair stroked. His mother would stroke it when he was sleepy or upset and it always made him melt like butter. For this sixth birthday, his mother carved him a flute out of wood and gave it to him. She was a very practical person and had fitted a small hoop through which a chain could be threaded so that it could be hung on a hook in the boy's room. Luke adored the flute and his mother had one of her own, she taught him how to play a few songs, including the lullaby she played for him at night before he went to bed.
By the age of six, his parents were killed by dark wizards. It had been a night like any other, except for the fact that his mother had given him a hand carved wooden flute. Then, as they were about to eat dinner the power was cut, plunging them all into darkness. He wasn't scared at first, he just figured it all a game. Until he heard his mother scream and there was a thud. Then, the lights came back on and there it was.
The wizard. It was both beautiful and terrifying. Luke couldn't tell if it was man or a woman at the time, for the wizard's face was hidden by a mask. It went for his father next who roughly shoved Luke back. "Luke run!" He shouted but he was already in the grip of a forbidden spell. How his father screamed and writhed. Luke remembered screaming at the man, telling him (he could now tell, judging by the voice) to let his daddy go. He begged his mother to get up, but in the back of his mind he knew she wouldn't. His father begged the wizard to spare his son while at the same time yelling at the little boy to run away. Luke obeyed, but only after seeing his father die too. Then he ran but the man caught up to him in seconds, slicing open his face with a strange, horrible curse and then doing the same to his arm. Luke almost passed out there from shock and pain but then, the evil wizrd spoke to him.
"Run." he breathed "Before I change my mind." and run Luke did. All the way out into the street, stumbling and falling until finally he ran into the road and was nearly struck by a car. He passed out then and awoke in a hospital. About a week after the attack, his dad's best friend, Ignatius came by and quickly signed some papers, confirming that in the absence of his parents, he was to be Luke's legal guardian. Iggy promised him that he'd take care of the little guy and raise him properly.
Iggy took over Luke's training as a fighter and found out that like his father, Luke was to be a martial artist as well. And so they moved to London where they still reside today. Four years after the attack, Iggy came home with a surprise, a baby boy from the adoption agency. He'd been trying to adopt him for quite some time. Luke instantly loved the infant and took it into his arms and held him. The two boys bonded over the year until Charles, or Skittles as Luke called him (because Charles had gotten into a game of skittles and was delighted at it), and they soon became almost inseparable. Luke was constantly with the little baby and both were very happy. Luke was often playing with his brother by placing him inside a laundry basket and running behind it, pushing it in front of him while making ‘vroom vroom’ sounds loudly.
This amused both boys to no end. When the young wizard became tired, he’d flop to the floor on his back and Skittles would curl up next to him. Iggy would find them moments later sleeping peacefully together, Luke holding onto the baby’s miniscule hand.
When the time came for Luke to go to Hogwarts, he was over joyed! He thought he would be just like his dad and be perfect at magic! But alas, he was not. He struggled with most spells, save for Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Charms. Transfiguration and Potions gave him the most trouble. Potions mainly because it was in the dungeons, which frightened him and he could hardly focus.
People soon learned of his struggle and though he was huge, they thought it great fun to pick on him. They soon learned that Luke was tough and fast. Fast enough to use defensive spells and fast enough to dodge around some and tough enough to take the brunt of some spells and keep on moving. Then, when he was close enough, it was time for a beat down.
In the summer of his fifth year, a month before starting his sixth, Iggy sat Luke down and he told him something he'd kept from him for nine years. Exactly why his father and mother had died. 'Luke.....' He'd said, 'This isn't going to be easy to hear but...it's time you knew.' and so, the tale began. When Luke's father was just seventeen, a year out of school he witnessed a witch actually torturing a wizard. He'd known it'd be crazy to do anything but run and get help, but he was afraid that if he did, the man would be killed. So, he stepped in to help, but not before the woman saw his face. Luke's father quickly knocked the witch out and contacted the Ministry to take her away.
With the woman safely in Azkaban, Luke decided to move his family away and for a time, they were safe. At least until they were discovered by the woman's husband. Angered that his wife was sent to prison where she went mad from the Dementors, he took his revenge on the man who'd seen her. He knew exactly who he was and after a little sleuthing, he found out where he lived.
Luke was enraged that his father was killed for doing the right thing, that his mother was just an innocent victim. That he was torn away from his family at such a young age.
It was made even worse that Luke's dad had actually gone to school with the man who killed him! That he'd been a friend at one point! Iggy assured him that they were safe, that the wizard couldn't find them, that they were okay. Luke wasn't so sure, but then he reasoned that they'd been alright for nine years and that the man had most likely been caught.
SCHOOL RELATIONSHIPS:
Lily Evans Sixteen Gryffindor Occupation Adorable Student.
He likes Lily for her intelligence mostly, she;a so much smarter and wiser than .... well, a lot of people. She's also kind and gentle to pretty much everyone. She'd even made friends with Severus, whom most people didn't like. To Luke, that says a lot. To make friends with and even keep that friendship alive and burning, even when it was obvious that he wasn't well liked just spoke volumes. She also reminds him of his mother a little bit, with her quiet strength and kindness. Her bold attitude and her general love for....everyone and everything.
He also loves her temper, because to honest....it's kind of cute. It's sweet when she gets angry and yells at people, it shows that's strong in her own way. That she won't let herself be pushed around and that she can handle herself if things get dicey.

rp sample: "Hiya! Hiya! Hiya! I'll save you Princess ....uh.....Princess......Sunshine! Don't worry! Take that! And that! And that and that and that! And some of this too!" A child, tall for his age with long blond hair and big blue eyes leaped and frisked about outside an empty house. He brandished a stick as long as he was and he chopped, swung and jabbed the air with it, his little face the picture of delight.
He didn't seem to mind playing by himself, in fact he seemed to love every moment of it. He charged at a swing dangling from a tree, it was made from wood and obviously old, but he didn't pay the slightest heed. He dropped the stick and pumped his legs hard. "Come Princess!" he shouted, "We ride on my noble steed to the castle!" he went higher and higher, his little feet skimmed the lower leaves on the tree and then SNAP! The rope broke and he screamed as he was flung into the air, flailing his arms and legs he soared across the sky.
Luckily, he landed in a pond. Unluckily, he landed on his stomach. POW! The noise was like a gunshot and he sank limply down. A few moments later, he was swimming strongly toward shore where he hauled himself out dripping and sniffling a bit, after all, that had hurt! "Ow." He whimpered, pulling up his sodden shirt to reveal a bright red mark, already vanishing.
".....I'm okay." He told himself and ran off again, "Princess Sunshine! The horse died! Where'd you go? Didja get runned over?" he was back to playing his imaginary games. Suddenly, he skidded to a halt as he saw....
"FROG!" He bellowed, it was the biggest bullfrog he'd ever seen in his life! Luke ran after it, it hopped away and he chased it happily. "Wait! Come back Mister Frog!" He shouted, "I'm not gonna hurt you! I only want to play!" around and around he chased the frog, sometimes getting on his hands and feet to hop after it, sometimes leaping straight over it and sometimes diving at it. He didn't seem to want to catch it at the moment, he was just having fun chasing it around.
After about ten minutes, he tired of just chasing it and finally gave a mighty leap, catching it by the middle. "YAY!" He cheered and ran around with it in his outstretched hands, laughing and giggling, kicking up his feet high and hopping up and down.
Suddenly, he looked over to see someone watching him. He gasped and dropped the frog, darting forward he ran up to the stranger, only long enough to snatch a wooden flute hanging by a chain from a low tree branch. He scurried back to hide behind another tree and only then did he peek out.
"......I didn't do nothin' wrong." He said, ".....Are you the Frog Police? You gonna arrest me?" He asked, his tone small and frightened. "I didn't know. I wasn't gonna hurt the frog. I just wanted to play." he muttered.
