Beautiful Ladies: Gilderoy is all about the girls, he doesn't like being tied down and is often seen sitting with at least three, shifting his attention from one to the other and doing his best to make them swoon, giggle and squeal.
Roses: The smell is intoxicating and when held just right, they make him appear elegant and refined. Plus, they're good for making a girl fall for him.
Himself: 'It's not often that God creates a perfect person like moi. Beautiful both inside and out' is something he often says. Gilderoy likes himself just as much as he does the women in his life.
Fashionable clothing: Nothing but the best will do for Gilderoy, he believes that the most expensive, good looking clothing his meant for him and him alone. He always has to look good in what he wears.
Being a gentleman: From the way he stands to the way he sits, even to the way he sets a glass down on a table (by cushioning it with his pinky so as not to make noise) Gilderoy prides himself on being a gentleman.
Shopping: Whether it's for fine clothes, the latest gadget or for a new book, Gilderoy enjoys shopping almost as much as he enjoys women.
Flirting: Gilderoy is a shameless flirt. He just can't help it! Any pretty girl that looks his way will get a heavy dose of his charm and flirtatiousness. Even if he's on a date with someone! He just can help himself.
dislikes: Being insulted: Gilderoy's feelings are easily hurt and anyone who insults him or talks down to him will surely hurt his feelings. But worry not! He bounces back rather fast.
Guys who are not gentleman: In his opinion, any guy who doesn't treat a woman with respect doesn't deserve to call himself a man. He'll defend a woman against such a man with all his might.
Being caught in a lie:
Looking like a fool: In his pride in himself, he doesn't like looking like an idiot, or a fool or anything else unrefined.
Ugly clothing: He won't wear it. He won't buy it. He won't look at it. To him, anyone who wears something hideous shouldn't be seen with him.
strengths:
Gentlemanly: He prides himself on being a gentleman at all times.
Romantic: With an extended hand or a simple rose, even down to the way he looks at a woman, he's a very romantic man.
Elegant: From his clothing style, to the way he walks even down to the way he sits, and stands, everything about him is elegant and refined.

weaknesses: Arrogant: In his love for himself, he's quite arrogant, but he tries not to appear so, however it shows up from time to time.
Clumsy: When he's not working his hardest at being graceful, Gilderoy can be a little bit clumsy. He's been known to fall down stairs, trip over nothing, knock things over and drop things.
Jealous: Despite his flirtatiousness, Gilderoy is prone to becoming jealous of any man who takes the affection of a girl away from him.
Dramatic: When Gilderoy wants attention or to make a point or a scene, he gets it done. In the most dramatic, and sometimes loud way possible.
Merciless: If you get on his bad side, you're either going to beg his forgiveness or wish you were never born. Gilderoy rarely shows mercy to those who piss him off.
habits/quirks:
He keeps roses in his jacket, ready to whip them out and present them to a lady.
He's very dramatic, so all of his actions are very big and attention gaining.
He also hates rodents, as such he usually squeals and screams along with the girls when he spots one.
Personality:
Loud! Dramatic! The center of attention! A shameless flirt! Gilderoy is all of these things and more. He'll flirt with any woman he sees and when he wants attention, he'll get it in the best way he knows how. By being loud and putting on a dramatic scene. He uses his hands a lot, whether it's to point, spread them wide, draw a person closer or even to stroke a woman's cheek or tilt her head up. There isn't anything Gilderoy won't do in order to make a woman smile, giggle, or swoon.
Gilderoy is a graceful as he is clumsy. If he's not concentrating on how he moves, he'll usually trip and fall, or knock something over. He's one hell of a dancer though, from ball room all the way down to modern dance. He's absolutely unbeatable when it comes to dancing. Off the dance floor however, he's a total klutz.
As much as a flirt the man is, he's also very romantic and knows how to make a girl feel special, (even if he does have several girlfriends) and he uses his romantic skills to his advantage. He enjoys carrying fresh roses in his clothing to whip out at a moment's notice and surprise a woman with, or just to look good.
When it comes to fashion, Gilderoy simply must look good and anyone who wants to be seen with him must look good as well. He also likes his clothes to look well pressed and freshly washed. No wrinkles, fades, or stains will be found on his clothing. It just won't do!
Gilderoy is also a very elegant, refined gentleman. His posture is perfect, he sits just right, he even sets a glass down with his pinky as a cushion to avoid making a loud sound with it. From the way he walks, right down to the way he dresses he is a gentleman through and through. A flirt he may be, but a rude man he is not.
Gilderoy also happens to have an interest in men, but he keep it hidden behind outrageous flirting with women. Under the influence of alcohol however, no one is safe, man or woman. He flirt with anyone. He might want to settle down with a woman, but that doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy looking at hot men and watching them move around. He's yet to kiss another man (unless he's too intoxicated to care) so he wants to know what it's like and actually remember it.
History:
Gilderoy was born to be spoiled. At least, that's what he was told. From the moment he was born, his parents doted on him. He was never told 'No' and he never even had to throw a tantrum. He was generally a well behaved boy, he was just a spoiled-well-behaved-boy. He never had to work for anything a day in his life. Everything was handed to him, he didn't have to clean up after himself, he didn't have to work at anything.
He learned quickly that his face could get him whatever he wanted as long as he coupled it with words. In short, he learned to lie. And as time went on, he got better and better at it. He learned how to manipulate people as well, to get them to do what he wanted. His father was a push over who wanted to be his friend, and so it was easy to convince him that he didn't need to do chores, that he was above such things. His mother wasn't a very strong person, so she too was wrapped around his pinkie. Gilderoy practiced on his parents, then on the children in the neighborhood. He soon had them believing that he was this perfect, fearless person. He liked it!
Gilderoy soon began living in a web of lies, stories and manipulation, he could create any stories he wanted and people would believe them! He could be this person he wasn't and he liked it! He stayed in the limelight and he loved it. He soon grew tired though of lying, so instead he began to flirt and by flirting, he learned that he could get women to do what he wanted. Soon, flirting became as second nature to him as breathing!
By the time school rolled around, he was all set to be the brightest, most popular student in the school! Only.....he wasn't. Except for Charms, Potions and Transfiguration, the rest of classes were difficult for him! And then, James Potter and Sirius Black stole the spotlight from him with their pranking ways! That. Would. Not. DO! So, he worked and strove to get on the top, he did something he never did before. He worked. Hard. He found that he excelled at Charms better than almost anyone in his year, his Potions work was great too and Transfiguration was good for him too!
In his own house, he was the champion. He was the star! That was how he liked it and for years, he was happy with how things were, but then.....things changed. The Marauders got bolder and bolder over the years, everyone was talking about them! When Gideon tried to get the conversation to revolve around him, as it should, someone else would bring up Potter and his....his gang of misfits! Gilderoy was the shining star in his house, that was for sure.
But it wasn't enough! James and Sirius, and now Peter and Remus each surpassed him in the spotlight. When he wanted everyone to look at him, they were looking at the golden boys. That was....making him mad! He had to do something, and so, he began weaving his web of lies again, and now.... in his sixth year, he's ready. Ready to start spreading rumors, both about himself and the Marauders. Awful rumors. Rumors that will easily destroy their reputations and make sure he....Gilderoy! The golden boy, is on top. Where he belongs.

rp sample: He threw open his closet wide with barely a sound, the doors sliding back to either side to reveal a wide array of clothing inside. The man smiled and stepped into it, moving through the rows, allowing his hands to run across the fabric. No cheap cotton or polyester was to be found. If he had to have a cotton shirt, only Egyptian cotton would do. The finest of the fine. The best of the best. He selected a leopard print long sleeved shirt, a black vest and matching slacks. He then slipped on a pair of black shoes and stepped out of closet in the outfit and stood in the mirror, smoothing out any wrinkles with his stone cold hands.
He tilted his head from side to side and turned his body, it was obvious he didn't think his outfit was complete. The man's bright red eyes light up as he snapped his fingers and then sauntered over to the closet again and came back out with a hat and placed it on his head. Sure that he looked perfect, Gilderoy crossed the room once more to his bedside. It was freshly made and absolutely huge with royal blue silken sheets and comforter and enough pillows to make into a bed for a small child. On the side table made from dark oak was a beautiful glass vase and inside was a huge bouquet of the most gorgeous, brilliantly red roses. They filled the room with their scent and Gilderoy's hand reached out and plucked one from the rest and inhaled its smell.
He slipped it underneath his vest inside a hidden pocket and headed out of his room. His long legs carried him far with each stride and his hands were spread wide as he passed by Tatiana "Ah! Good morning my dear angel!" He greeted with a smile and ran one finger along her jawline as he passed by. "I trust you enjoyed your present?" He asked, for he'd ordered her a CD collection of her most favorite modern artist, each signed by the musician and some cases, by the entire band.
Tatiana only brushed him off and he sighed, leaning back against a wall, his right hand clutching his left elbow, the hand of his left arm rested over his eyes "The angel has the horns of the devil!" He exclaimed, putting on a hurt tone and allowing his face to fall tragically. "I fear I may burst into flame at your heated words!" He then laughed and with a twirl he moved out of range of the woman. "Of course, you wouldn't be Daddy's little Tatiana without the horns holding up that hallo." And he smiled and moved on.
It was then that he glanced down the stairs and stopped dead in his tracks behind the banister. A young woman had walked into view downstairs. Her beauty was unrivaled! Her hair....like silk! He smiled "Hold it right there my Princess!" He shouted, one hand on his hip, the other with his pointer finger extended, thumb to one side "Your prince has come!" And he planted his out stretched hand on the banister below and threw himself over it, head pointing at the floor, one hand on his hat to keep it in place, legs together as he flipped once in the air and landed at her feet, his left arm extended, hat clutched in it, his right held across his chest as he bowed. He straightened up, taking the rose from his vest, in perfect condition and held it out to her. "For you my Princess." He said and then, stared straight into her eyes as he replaced his hat on his head with his most winning smile.
"My name is Gilderoy, now are you going to give me your name or shall I just call you Princess?" He asked, the smile never leaving his face. It wasn't at all fake or forced, it was easy to smile at such a gem as this lovely lady.
